They dont have good shoes

I've bought two pairs of shoes from Trade Home. The sales people are helpful, but border on pushy at times. I got a pair of Fryes there and absolutely love them. Then I got a pair of Earth shoes from them and the sole of the shoe has completely separated from the body within 12 months with minimal wearing. When I took it back in they said they could do nothing to help me since I did not keep the receipt (Ok, who keeps every receipt for a year? I guess I do now.) The sales man then proceeded to tell me that shoes generally only last about 12 months anyway, but that they have a bunch of other brands that have longer warranties. I found this blatant sales pitch tactless. I take care of my shoes and have multiple high quality pairs that are going on 5 years with minimal visible wear & tear. Also, why would I be spending $100 plus on shoes if they only lasted me a year wearing them 3-4 times a week winter/fall? I will give the last sales man credit for pointing me towards a good shoe repair place in Iowa City to take my Earth shoes to have the sole glued back on. I doubt I'll be buying another pair of shoes from this store, maybe if they have something on clearance. I do know I won't be shelling out top dollar there anymore.
