Absolutely the ONLY place to go to get real bagels made the original way. Wonderful service, other great items like freshly baked bread, rolls, scones, and sandwiches.
Very friendly staff. Great environment. Great for small group meeting or lunch time work. Highly recommend to anyone.
Second time having breakfast here. Love their bagels and great service. Josh is great. Thank you.
Best bagel place in town. As a matter of fact, it's the only bagel place on town. Go try them out, you WON'T be disappointed.
Get there early before selections sell out. Try their Cinnamon Roll with citrus sugar spread topping. I can't get enough of it.
best bagels i've ever tasted, yummy baked goods and sandwiches, and great staff! highly recommended
The best bagel in Palm Springs bar none. The hidden secret about Townie is their organic breads, yum so much flavor. My favorite breakfast sandwich is the pretzel bagel sausage egg cheese. Wow! Love the people place and products.
Wow! We really enjoyed this place. Stopped in because of the Dining Out For Life fundraiser and we had to be nearby in the morning and found it to be a great place to have a quick breakfast. Ran into some friends who eat there regularly. Who knew?
Had a bagel with cream cheese and coffee, and my partner had a egg, ham and cheese sandwich. All was excellent. The place was especially busy because of the fundraiser, which the owner was honored to be a part of. He was super nice to everyone and making sure everything was going smoothly with the larger than normal crowd, which it was. I need to get up early to go there again!
Great bagels here. The seating feels awkward. You don't want to sit and eat your delicious bagel. Which they give a healthy portion of cream cheese. Best place in town to grab your favorite bagel.
Let's just get this out there, first and foremost: I think their bagels are great.
Obviously you are going to have your own opinion, and I know you're going to be emotional about it. Fine. People come to Palm Springs from all over the world, and they bring their bagel issues with them, and you aren't any different. New Yorkers insist their bagels are superior because of their water, while folks from LA say their dough makes their bagels the best. Chicagoans don't and can't say anything, which is exactly as it should be: a bagel is not a doughnut dipped in lye. Get it together, Chicago.
Anyway. The guys at Townie didn't create their bagels on a whim -- they were testing recipes and combinations and details for years, literally years, and their bagels are just right, a good shine on the outside with a just-right crust, the inside consistently perfectly riding the edge, substantial without toughness or being too chewy. I would recommend eating them the same day you buy them, but I'd say that about any bagel anywhere.
Their breads are equally good, as are the scones. The bagel sandwiches are served hot and best eaten on-site. The coffee is hot: consider that a warning.
You'll find plenty of locals at Townie Bagel -- that name ain't for nothing -- and plenty of local color, but it's not the kind of place to hear the local gossip; unlike Las Vegas, these are people who know how to keep a secret. It helps that their mouths are full of bagels.
Fun little bagel shop. Incredibly friendly people. Good music. Nice place to hang out too. Bagels, breakfast sandwiches and good coffee.
I love this place. I brought a bag of their bagels all the way to Lyon France.
The bagel is a dense, chewy style. They're good.
You should nosh on their other menu items. Great breakfast sandwiches.
This place rocks. You think you know a thing or two about bagels? You've seen it all? Get your bagel fix here, my friend. While everyone talks about NYC bagels, Townie Bagels in Palm Springs just raised the bar. From now on, my reference bagels will be "Palm Springs bagels".
