The food tasted fantastic even though two of the three bowls we bought had mistakes. I can't imagine all dates were like the one we were there. The wait for the food was terrible. We waited 35 minutes for the food to come up, and then it was incorrect. We ate it any way and loved it. There was only one worker delivering food and cleaning up and she did a fantastic job, it just took forever for food to come from the cooks.
I will certainly give the place another try.
The food is the same everywhere however, customer service at this location is exceptionally terrible. The guy at the register specifically will make you feel like he is doing you a favor that is really inconvenient for him to perform at all times. If you end up going out of skepticism or hunger, avoid walking in 1.5 hours prior to close time or after. The staff has the tendency to put the chairs up long prior to close time and they start screaming let’s gooooo really loud until you just get tired of it all and walk out to never return (even though they still have an hour left to provide exceptional service and create value). Management/owners have obviously given up on this spot and they give TD an undeserved bad name. Must clear the house and hire people eager to work OR take loses
The cashier literally looked me in the eyes for 3 minutes while he talked to a friend as I stood at the counter trying to order. Every time I go to this place they come up with a new and inventive way to disappoint me. The food is always mediocre, and the service is terrible or nonexistent. I used to eat at the one on 5th St all the time when I was at GA Tech and was absolutely in love I guess I'm just chasing a ghost because this place has fallen so far it's unrecognizable.
Terrible service. The cashier looked like he would rather be somewhere else than there. My friend got his food quickly but mine never came. After 15 minutes, I asked them about the order, they said it's coming soon. 15 min later still no food. I asked for a refund so I could just go somewhere else that's actually in the business of serving their food and treating their customers like guests, not nuisance. The cashier had to get the manager, who made me wait another 5 minutes. He gave me my money back without even a word or a sorry. Pathetic!
decent food. but a little dirty and sticky inside. the floor needs to be refinished. ugly and dirty floor. they take 20 mins to make a single dish every time. Why don't they make stuff in batches? Food should be ready in less than 5 mins.
So I've been having really bad experiences since last 2 visits to tin drum. Regardless of that I thought maybe they will change the food quality and I went today for lunch and again overflow of disappointment.
I ordered simple pad Thai with tofu and it was the worst Pad Thai. I waited for 45 mins to get my food and for that amount of wait I did not even get a food that can be eatable.
I mean I have low expectations of Atlantic station anyway but this Tin Drum managed to impress with with just how terrible it really was. Service was beyond s**t and the food was edible at best. I mean wow.
I've been here about 4 times, each time I really enjoyed my food. Staff is always friendly and nice. The location is busy which is expected for the area. Don't expect fast food service, it's not fast food. It's good food fast, big difference. A lot of the bad reviews seem to be the Atlantic Station ratchets that don't know how to act in public. I promise it's delicious and worth the wait. Keep in mind people try to flood the place before big movies in Atl station.
Worst Tin Drum experience ever. Went in a little after nine p.m., the girl at the register was struggling with taking orders and left the register to get some help from the Manager(?) who came up and did it for her and then said all meals have to be "To go, so we can close." My son waited for our order inside while his girlfriend and I waited at a table outside. The food took an inordinately long time, I say this only because a few different people who ordered their food after us got theirs before we did. When ours finally came out my son noticed it came out in bowls and the manager just dumped them into "To Go" containers, yes dumped them. My Meal came out with the white rice (I had ordered Brown Rice) on top of the meat and saucetheir were no vegetables. My Son's meal was a significantly smaller portion than we have seen in 5 different Tin Drums we have eaten in. When I asked the manager about my issues with my meal he said "We're out of Brown Rice, there was no upcharge" I asked him about the appearance of my meal and he said "You ordered to go", I replied that it was he who declared our orders were to go. My favorite drink, Gingerale/Jasmine Tea was luke warm. My Son witnessed the manager complaining about people still coming in when they were trying to close, 9:30 a 1/2 hour before close, as he was dumping orders from bowls into "To Go" containers.
Customer Service- F, Food- D, Dining Experience- F Final Grade- F
Recommendation: Skip this restaurant until they make the adjustments to bring it up to the Tin Drum chain standards. Manager needs to be re-trained.
Placed order to go. My order came out but my name was never called. It sat on the counter for 30 minutes before they realized it was mine. Said they 'Could warm it back up for me.'
Overcharged for something that we did not ask for and the cashier said that she did not know how to do a refund!
Basil rice didn't have any basil in it
A hot ghetto mess. Dirty. Dudes walking around with your dish cupped in his arms. Nasty. Don't go.
I work in midtown and I don't have much option for lunch while at work, so there is this restaurant in our ground floor. I'm a regular customer there but still they mess up my order more often than not. I've had bad experiences but as I don't have any other option I continue to go there and get disappointed again and again. One time I ordered sing chow men when I took it and opened to it there was no chicken!! instead they have put broccoli, but I was so hungry and the restaurant was so crowded that I had to eat it. Then some of the times they make the noodle very dry and the chicken remains uncooked. Today, I had ordered the same sing chow men and I'm not sure what the girl there heard because when I got my order and I came to my place and I opened the box, there was not sing chow..instead they had given some chicken curry type thing with white rice..!! I was so surprised how can they mess up the names of the dishes. I doubt the skill of the people who work there because most of the time they mess up my order.
Food is pretty decent. I live and work in the Atlantic station area and the Tin Drum here has the longest wait times than 6 flags during 4th of July. Seriously, I keep placing orders on the phone, go there in person, at any given point, it takes minimum of 35-45 minutes to get the food you order (if they don't mess up the order) I really like the food and gave it more than a few weeks to see if it gets any better.. Guess what?! it is not.. Thanks Tin Drum you just lost yourself ANOTHER customer.
