Food was 9 out 10. Service excellent. Prices very reasonable. Atmosphere outstanding. From Indy ~ our bars/lounges could benefit by visiting the Saloon!

Amazing fpodband atmosphere. A little dark at our table, but overall a fun place. Kid friendly too. Prices are very reasonable. I had a double hamburger and it was outstanding! Wife loved her salad and the kids enjoyed their meals too. Service was great, never had to wait for a refill. Beer selection was decent. Cannot wait to come back again.

Great place! Just wish we could have seen our food while we enjoyed the band on the deck. Table lighting would be great!! Great service and good food and drinks!!

Different & Limited
I have been here every year for the past four years. The food has been good in the past. But this years' visit was a huge disappointment! The macaroni & cheese, to die for, now has bacon (including gristle) in it. Not very tasty. The ribs, which are usually to die for, were pretty puny in size this year -you have to order two 1/2 slabs in order to get an entire rack of ribs. Not only that, but the rub they're using is so hot & spicy, I couldn't eat my food until I had cut all the rub OFF and poured their BBQ Sauce on the ribs. It is GREAT!! Brisket is to die for. All the dishes were excellent. Great flavors. Waiter was prompt, friendly, efficient. Very unique environment (in a good way). Looking forward to coming back.

Great margaritas! Shrimp tacos are fantastic andv the same can be said of all of their meats. They have a burger that has brisket AND pulled pork as toppings. Insanely good! Good selection of craft beers too. Live music and in-the-shell peanuts while you wait.

Very unique bar. Definitely a biker bar, a big sprawling indoor outdoor venue with really good casual food, mainly hog themed, not your common food, but like smoked meats and pepper jelly topping. I had hog wings, which were pork shanks. Yum. 2 full bars, live music (heavy metal the night we were there). We never felt threatened or unwelcome, highly recommend.

We have been here before and the food is good. But read what people say here about the service!!! Although, there are some good servers there, apparently over all there are not. And that is usually a result of lame management!!! Management is of no help, in fact they just stand around too. And I never received even a "sorry" or "explanation" when I sent the following message to them "We like coming here, and the food is good. Last night, we had an out of town vistor (Texas), and we wanted to take them to some place special. Plus it was also my girlfriend's birthday. But this time our service was less than desired. I thought maybe she realized that when she FINALLY returned when we were done eating and asked if we needed anything else, and I replied "Nope, not anymore. It's a little too late for that." She didn't even seem to care. But hopefully the one cent tip did. I generally always tip around the 20% area, because I know that "good" servers work very hard. I probably should've asked for someone in charge, but our night was already ruined. I just wanted to pass this on, because with a server like that, not only did they lose their tip, it also cost you at least $5-$10 or more, since we didn't order more drinks. And when a server keeps losing money for you, especially mutiple times over time, your loses are going to add up." In summary, it's got pretty good food, but you better hope to be lucky and get a good server, otherwise you're in for a bad experience since management doesn't care.

Great place for a burger and beer after hiking at Turkey Run state park. Our server was great, attentive even though he was clearly busy. The food was good, we got the "signature burgers" and found them tasty and inexpensive. Cheap drinks too!

The server's make human errors. Expect delays. The hog pit is fun if you like a crowd. The food is average.

We just love this place. We may be camping, or just a night out. Anyone is welcome. Great food. Our kids love it. We love sitting outside or inside. Hogslop is my absolute favorite!
