Spectacularly restored 100 year old mansion with beautiful grounds that are suitable for any event from intimate overnight stays for 2 in their bed and breakfast to large wedding parties with plenty of seating and beautiful places for photos all around the grounds, the gardens, and inside the house. The property takes up the entire downtown city block, and is walking distance to many eateries, bars, and shops. No expense was spared in the restoration of this amazing property.
Community cocktail party! It was great. Beautiful place.
I was memorized by the beauty of the Inn! And the innkeeper, Brittany, is very sweet and knowledgeable. Just magnificent!
Absolutely beautiful place to have a wedding! Staff are very attentive to everyone's needs.
Very beautiful, relaxing, and peaceful! Delicious breakfast as well. The grounds we're very well kept, and had many great spots for pictures. Very beautiful all around.
Don't want to miss this gem!
Nestled in the heart of Columbus, Indiana is a fabulous Inn. Not only a trip into a more elegant past, but a balm for the soul. The Gardens are a delight; feels like your own private retreat. And there's a spa on the property. Great for an event but you might want to keep it a secret for yourself.
The Gardens are wonderful! We enjoyed a tour of the Spa and greenhouse. This is an amazing treasure in Columbus
The garden is very dirty.. you'd almost think they where renovating it.almost. the inside looks fantastic though. Truly an awesome place to stay.
Had a great time. Very nice view, amibiance was incredibly nice. I hope to come back very soon
It's so peaceful and I feel welcomed there. I love there tea!
We went to just view the garden, thinking wedding plans It was BEAUTIFUL! Honestly a breath taking view.
We stayed at the Irwin house for two nights in June. We have stayed in
quite a few B&Bs over the years but this place has been the best. It
took our breath away when we first walked in to see the beautiful
staircase and wood work in the main room.
The innkeepers Sarah and Brittany showed us around the mansion. It
was amazing. The service while we stayed was excellent. If we needed
anything we just called Sarah or Brittany and they would help us.
We were served wine at 5pm in the evenings as part of guest services.
We then walked down to a great Italian restaurant for dinner and then
over to a bar for drinks before returning to sleep in a wonderful room.
We chose to stay in the Elsie Sweeney Room. It had mahogany
bedroom set with king bed. The bathroom had a vintage bath/shower
combination.
The breakfast we had on the first morning was fabulous but nothing
compared to the Bananas Foster we had the second morning.
The location was just a couple of blocks from downtown Columbus.
Easy to walk to restaurants and bars in the evening and historic sites
during the day.
The gardens behind the house are beautiful and romantic.
We loved the place so much we are giving our daughter and her
husband a night there for their upcoming anniversary.
And I am taking my wife back to stay for her birthday.
