Beautiful English restaurants. British dishes, wines, teas, desserts. Very cozy and excellent ambience. Also sell uniquely hand made souvenirs.
As always the lunch today was great and the service was excellent. My wife had a shrimp salad over greens and crispy bread on the side. I had salmon patties over rice with a dab of a chutney on the side. Perfection is hard to beat.
We came here on September 1, 2017 for our 50th wedding anniversary. We were offered champaign, but because we do not drink, they gave us free dessert of a hot fudge sundae with a strawberry on top in the shape of a heart. The service was excellent and the food was very good and they have the best blueberry scones we have ever tasted. Highly recommend you come and try the restaurant yourself as we will be back for sure.
This is one of the most perfect places to visit for late breakfast, lunch or morning or afternoon tea. The food and drink is excellent, plenty of traditional English food choices that you do not find anywhere else. Management and staff are simply delightful, real customer service is what this place is about. We have dined there around 50 times, never had to complain about anything , the 45 minute journey from Kissimmee that we make is a little price to pay for such an excellent experience. There are not enough stars on this review to reflect how good this place is, 10 stars would be more fitting. Prices are very reasonable and once you dine there you will want to just keep going back.
Two of my best friends took me here for a birthday party toward the end of April 2017. We had a lovely time. The food was very good and we all tried a bite of each other's dishes. I don't remember what we had unfortunately but it was all very good. The tea was delicious and we shared each other's tea as well. I would love to come back and try more of their entrees and tea flavors. It was one of the nicest birthday get-togethers I've ever had with my girlfriends. Our waitress was especially nice and everyone there seemed very hospitable as they waited on tables.
Authentic tea time, adorable atmosphere. Large selection of teas, pastries and meals. Randomized china and quick staff. Could be a little cheaper, but you are also paying for the experience!
I have been going to Windsor Rose for many years and always enjoyed it. Not anymore. We had our favorite, the Cottage Pie that used to be delicious. Today the crust was soggy and the inside was tasteless and mushy. The salmon was over cooked and the fresh asparagus was grey and overlooked. My favorite dessert the Maids of Honor was awful. It used to be a large piece of puff pastry with a delicious lemon curd. Instead we got a 2" piece of puff pastry with a lumpy lemon curd with coconut. Either they got a new chef who doesn't know how to cook or they are cuttings corners. This was hard to do but we will not back. What a disappointment.
I loved this place!! We went on yelp to find places around and this one was one of the places open, in so thankful to God for leading us into this place. One of the best experiences I had with a restaurant. The waitress we had was amazing I'm so sad I didn't get her name but " she wore a Fitbit and was really young " if she is reading this thank you for the amazing service and wonderful advice on what to eat . I loved that beef meat pie
Pretty good place for breakfast and tea. My wife likes the lunch, as well. I found the prices are a little bit high, but we went for a special occasion so it was warranted.
I moved from Maryland to Mount Dora, Florida a couple of years ago and discovering this little gem in historic Mount Dora was a great find. My husband and I enjoy the breakfast food on the weekends and my girlfriends and I enjoy having lunch and tea here during the week days. The food is delicious, especially the corned beef Reuben and the potato salad is to die for! I love the atmosphere, the staff is friendly, my favorite server is "Emily", her smile is contagious and she always makes us feel so welcomed. I love this little quaint British style tea room in my little town of Mount Dora and I am so glad I found it 🤗
Love, Love Love this place! Brought my daughter here for her birthday and we we're able to chat uninterrupted, Not because we were ignored, but because the ladies are cognizant of their guests and sensed correctly when to come speak to us. The food was absolutely delish!! Creamy, rich and seasoned perfectly. Beware the carrot cake! It's not what us Americans are used to. This ain't no cupcake! This is a massive, HEAVY, rich, addictive dessert!! Took it home and it feed 3 others! You can only eat so much. My birthday is New Years.guess where my daughters are taking me???
Our family of four loved the setting, food and warm hospitality. A truly authentic British atmosphere. It reminded our British family members of British teas enjoyed through the years. The waitress and owner were so very gracious and our visit while short shall stay with us forever as a bright stop during our visit. till next time
