It's Florida in a nutshell! You can mingle with the locals, bring your well behaved dog, sip a cold adult beverage all while taking in the beauty of natural Florida. For the adventurer, you can rent a kayak or canoe and paddle down the river to get up close and personal with nature. Simply love this place!

Wonderful place, nice family friendly atmosphere, especially for a place with an outdoor bar! We took our dog here to run freely and jump in the refreshing waters. Good choice of drinks, occasional live music, volleyball tournaments, and other fun events. Hope to come back here to relax again soon. Great place to rent kayaks too!

Wonderful place to take your dog and let them swim around a bunch. They’ve recently rebuilt over the years using a lot of solar panels and energy saving structure stuff. They rent kayaks and sell food. There is an open bar, volleyball, and live music during crowded times. Would love to come back there some day.

Water is the darkest I've ever seen it. My friend was driving 3 over the limit and got scolded by the owner. She drives a Tesla. Moving forward, I have to say that the property is extremely well kept. The coconut shrimp is top 5 I've ever had. Place has good potential. If it wasn't for my pilot being scolded I would of had a better feel of the place. Really not a good way to start.

White sand beach adjacent to scenic Wekiva river. Canoe/kayak rentals. Beer and wine bar with catering/food truck on-site. Beach volleyball court, dog friendly, large movie screen, with picnic tables and other wooden chairs for ample riverside seating. Delightful and well-informed staff. All good!

Beautiful atmosphere, great service, and the cabana staff was on point. Dog friendly. Great food and cheap beer.. Big bar. Only bad was the terrible t-mobile connection and slow slow wifi but it is all good since it is such a relaxing atmosphere.

Wekiva Island is a pretty cool place. Really relaxed atmosphere and pretty, usual Florida river flora. The rentals seem a little pricey, but I don't rent canoes often so maybe it's fair. We went after 4pm so it was $20 (the cheapest rate). There were already canoes and kayaks queued up so we jumped right in and headed out. We will be back :-)

Busy, but an almost magical location. Private areas that can be reserved with grills, and shaded pavilions. Alcohol and food are available as well as swimming. Pets are allowed and love to go swimming. We personally kayaked in with a few small children and had a picnic on one of the docks near an unused reserved spot while swimming.

This was actually plan B after the line to get into the State Park was way backed up on Fourth of July weekend. Gave them a quick call and they said there was a few limited parking spaces available so our group headed over fast. Parking was a breeze and only $1 per adult for entrance. Large bar with a nice list of draft and bottled beers (including crafts) and wine. Service was quick. Nice selection of well kept canoes/kayaks. Our group rented 3 canoes and went down towards the springs and back. Lots of places to set up your own camp with chairs, etc. would definitely be interested in a cabana next time. It was nice large crowd and good mix of party goers and families. Pets Welcome! This is truly a Central Florida gem.

Get here as early as possible to ensure you have a spot in the park! To conserve the environment, access is limited. We rented canoes for 2 hours for $19.15 and also floated on inner tubes in the springs. Super relaxing and a great way to cool off!

Local gem, drove from Miami to soak with the dogs. Thank you for having decent prices on craft brew! Made me drink more and try more beers! Service was great. The kids that are in charge of parking should have a sign with rules, got into a stupid discussion about where my beer came from Overall Awesome time, people were nice, younger crowd but a mature vibe.

Great little spot. The water is perfection, plenty of chairs, but you can bring your own too. Would recommend you being an umbrella as there's little shade when sitting out on the dock (expected). The food/bar shack is open early don't worry about not bringing a cooler. It's dog friendly: a reminder to people without dogs. All the dogs were friendly, people around were friendly (even without dogs), encouraging the dogs to meet each other and whatnot.

Kayaks are way better quality than the State Park and $30 for an all day rental makes more sense to me, plus you don't pay to park and there's a bar. The view is pretty awesome too. If you're trying to skip the beach but still want fun in the sun this is the place.

A beautiful wildlife park with many sights, especially in the early morning. Note that many reptiles including turtles and alligators sunbathe in the morning and retreat underwater toward the heat of the day. This park is reasonably close to UCF and can feel overpopulated, my advice is to go on a weekday and double-check that it isn't spring/winter break. Canoe rentals are about $20/2 hours and about a mile down the path is a booze island if midday drinking is a hobby of yours. The river doesn't loop around so be sure to turn back after feeling fatigued.
