  Living in Utah for 20 years, the Tree Room remains a favorite and lux treat when considering a special place to be. Ahhh Sundance, totally unique and beautiful. A genuine gem in Utah. Dinner is top notch with expert preparation, good wine service and selection, inviting ambiance. An evening well spent, you will be delighted.

  This was an upscale place but... Casual. Which is an odd combination. I think the restaurant considers itself higher end than it is. Decorated with Native American treasures, a dead tree and a very ugly fire place (thank heavens Robert Redford went into acting rather than interior design), the ambiance was not very exciting. The pepper steak was well flavored and tender. The cheeses were wonderful. The praline chocolate was fantastic.
  Maybe I would go back? If only for the chocolate dessert. Yum....

  As a teenager I skied Sundance exclusively as it was so close. Skipping school just to be in this amazing place the Mr. Redford has shared with us. 40 years later I have returned to the area and have picked up from where I left off. Skiing is a bit more challenging but my taste buds are perfect. The Tree Room is such an escape from the city that offers a wide selection of unique dishes that will leave you wanting more. Thanks to the wonderful staff that makes this experience that much more memorable. See you all Saturday Night. 🍷

  Hands down — one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Excellent food, attentive and engaged service staff, incredible environment. The live music (Nate Robinson) tipped the scales even more. His acoustic variations of a variety of recognizable songs was perfectly appropriate and a real enhancement for our evening. Very well done, Sundance.

  We went for our anniversary and were very impressed with the experience. There was an interesting variety on the menu and we enjoyed everything we ordered. We both had the Pepper Steak and it exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere is cozy, romantic and a little formal. They give you the option to sit next to your partner if you wish, which I thought was a lovely idea. Service was exceptional. We will be returning to this lovely spot for our special occasions.

  The pepper stake changed my life. The atmosphere was so cozy I feel I could live there. The service was very welcoming and kind and I will definitely return.

  Why did I wait so long to go here? We came for our anniversary and spent an afternoon on the lift and doing dinner there at Sundance. The staff was positive and helpful and the courses were very good. My favorite part may have the bread—so many flavors rolled up in there! This dining experience was actually quite significant for me as it was really the first time that I enjoyed presentation over quantity. I love to eat, so I often find myself doing the math before ordering, trying to balance something that sounds good but will also be filling. I know, so uncouth. But as each plate came out we enjoyed the description of the food from the waitress, the presentation was impressive and the textures and flavors were all quite an experience in itself. It was quite fun! Somewhere in there I forgot that I wanted to stuff my face and I’m OK with that.

  Admitted foodie here. Awesome wait staff service, I really mean excellent. Relaxing ambiance, but does not view the mountain.
  
  And then came the food. Artistic visually yes, but "meh" on the gustation. Tuna appetizer was just a letdown compared to excellent restaurants that do it well. Overwhelming onion to coverup an inferior cut of tuna.
  
  Also ordered the rabbit ravioli (they used a different name). Nothing wrong with it, just lacked much character.
  
  My wife had a nice Malbec and I had a Manhatten which were fine.
  
  Would habe left fewer stars but waiter removed tuna from the bill without me asking. We left $15 tip on a $25 bill because he truly was great with service.
  
  If I was given a $1000 gift card to come back, I wouldn't. If you claim excellence, then don't serve food that isn't just that.

  Everything was just ok. You don't go to a place like this for the food to be just ok. The food was cooked properly, but lacked flavor.

  I decided to do something special with my wife. The tree room is expensive, however the atmosphere was great and the food splendid! I highly recommend it to others

  We where hoping for a wonderful experience. Not last night. Took 1 hr to get our food. Salmon was good but the halibut was very dry, as if it had been cooking the whole time. Very cold in the restaurant. Everyone was shivering. Quite unpleasant. A real disappointment.

  Eating at the Tree Room just prior to proposing to my wife was wonderful. The chef prepared our meals without flaw. Wonderful cheese and local honey selection, and the mango chutney was impeccable on my pepper steak. The vibe is very upscale while being incredibly intimate and relaxing. Seating allows you to sit beside your sweetheart for the whole meal if you wish. I am looking forward to making visits to the Tree Room a tradition.

  Great food, great service. The ambience was amazing. I have never been treated that well by a wait staff in my life. The steak was to die for, i would highly recommend it. All in all, a great choice for an up-scale night out.
