The Silver Dollar feels like home. The staff are wonderful! The menu offers a variety for all. The drink menu is full of every kind kind of drink you can think of.

It is always great to come to the silver dollar. We had a fantastic meal and even saw a food network star!!!! The drinks are good but a little expensive. This is a nice restaurant to splurge on a nice Saturday brunch. People from out of town to locals will enjoy this rare find!

Love the brunch on weekends. Service is always excellent and food is great. I recommend the hash browns both ways.

The food here is the definition of so-so. I have tried this place three or four times and every time my meal is alright, and it is so expensive! The only thing that draws me to this place is the environment, the building is awesome and it's always a fun atmosphere. I would go there to only order a drink from now on.

I've eaten at The Silver Dollar twice now and it's been pretty good. Their atmosphere is killer and their liquor selection is pretty impressive. The service isn't bad, though it's nothing to write home about, especially considering the fairly high price point for most of the menu options. I ate the chicken and waffles both times and was satisfied with it. The syrup tasted like what you'd get from Aunt Jemima's (albeit a little thinner) and the chicken was pretty tender. All in all, I wasn't really wowed by the place. It wasn't necessarily a bad experience, but I like to feel like I get my money's worth when I go out to eat, especially when I might drop a little more cash compared to a different place.
I usually recommend this restaurant to Louisville visitors who are looking for plenty of whiskey/bourbon options and don't mind spending a little money for it.

Been here a few times and always enjoyed it. Took some out of town friends here on a Saturday night. Not the best visit.

Service as always was awesome. Drinks were diverse and fairly priced. First issue was our starter order was wrong, they corrected it, then we found a wad of hair in the replacement. Not going well and kind of set the tone for the rest of the dinner.

We all have bad nights, and I will chalk this one up as one. Will definitely be back, just disappointed in this visit.

The grass fed beef at The Silver Dollar is the best I've had. I love the outdoor space in the back. It just says summer is welcoming you. Prices are reasonable. Our server, Alex, loves her job and it shines through. It is a unique space, comfortably rustic. I enjoyed the experience and plan to return again the next time I crave a cheeseburger.

Cold beer and good burgers. Old firehouse renovated into a great restaurants. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable of menu and bar selections. The house made Ketch-up is excellent. Parking is a bit of an issue. Will be back.

My husband and I are here on our honeymoon & loved the bourbon selection and food. We ordered chicken & waffles, BBQ chicken thighs and fried pickles. All were huge portions & extremely good. Bourbon prices were decent and we finished off with Kentucky mules (strong & good). Tab was under $100 which was surprisingly awesome!! Our tour guide from seitzel-weller (Sylvia) recommended this place & we are glad she did!!

Awesome food, awesome atmosphere. The porch is dog friendly. I would love to return during my next visit to Louisville KY!!

I took off 1 star because of crazy neighbors who harass patrons when a dogs is left in the car. Regardless of if they know who owns the dog or if they are even in the restaurant.
The situation I observed was ridiculous because the windows were all cracked and the owner never left view of the car. It was maybe 65 degrees that day, early spring. It's not illegal to leave a dog in the car as long as there's proper air movement.
This one neighbor in particular made a huge fuss and kinda ruined the dinning experience for the patrons not involved. I felt bad watching this guy being yelled at for doing nothing wrong. If something illegal was happening, then police should have been called, not some crazy lady yelling into
The manager handed it all very well and was openly apologizing for what is clearly an ongoing problem with crazy neighbors over reacting

We sat at the bar. The service was so so. The catfish was delicious; however, the wedge salad was just average. The croutons were not crispy; the flavor was good, but they tasted as if they had been out all day. The blue cheese was good quality, but the dressing was lackluster. The whiskey selection is awesome.

If you can tolerate the country music always playing in the background, Silver Dollar is otherwise a great place to have a drink or a meal. The bourbon whiskey selection is unbeatable, as is the $3 shot of the day. The food menu is also very good, particularly the fire-roasted tomato ketchup with the fries! The aesthetic is a chic but cozy reclaimed old building, including an upstairs seating area and a big open air patio in the back.

One of the best restaurants in Louisville. Knowledgeable bar staff slinging a range of craft cocktails made with fresh house ingredients. Excellent southern grub. Atmosphere is the opposite of pretentious. Nice back patio when the weather is nice.
