Excellent barbecue. Quick friendly service. Great atmosphere in an old industrial building a block or two from the performing arts center. Incredible selection of bourbon. Would be great for a group, but there are enough choices in seating location that you can hold a conversation.

Kitchen open until 10PM on a weeknight. Good food. Plates were a bit small. Good selection of local beer and full bar. Nice, open atmosphere with a couple TVs to keep up on the game.

Place was amazing. Prices were reasonable. Husband had a chicken sandwich and I had half rack of St. Louis ribs. Very meaty and delicious. Neither of us could finish our plates. There was a lot of food per plate. Friendly and clean environment. We will be back.

Great atmosphere, location. Lots of really good dishes to choose from. I grabbed a half rack of baby back ribs, mac and cheese, and fries. Perfect. Loads of drinks to choose from. Menu has two full pages of bourbon to choose from, a whole page of whiskey, all among the wine and beer. Definitely starred this one for a return trip.

Don't believe the trolls! This place is fabulous. This place was packed (waited about 30 minutes for a table after being quoted 45) and the service was fast and friendly. Had baby back ribs with hush puppies, both amazing. The barbecue sauce is some of the best I've ever had (spicy!) and the cocktails are well worth the price. Will absolutely come back next time I'm in Louisville!

Went for the BBQ and was seriously disappointed. I mean seriously. Potato salad looked interesting but tasted old, potatoes were dry. It was over-thought in trying to be unique. Onion fries were great. Waitress was very nice but never asked if we wanted a refile. All in all I think it was the most over-priced below average food we ever had.

Tried to make a reservation but was told no tables for 2.5 hours by phone But we walked in anyway and got seated right away.

Very spacious place, clean and well lit. Menu made choices hard. We got great attention from the server and she made thoughtful recommendations at our request.

All the food was delicious from the cold smoked shrimp app (2.50$/shrimp MKT by the way) to the chocolate cake dessert. Slightly overpriced by my estimation otherwise 5*

The smokehouse sampler was very good and is big enough to share with 2-3 people. None of the meats were fatty and the baked beans had pulled pork in them (so good). The cocktails were pretty good although they did take a while.

Great food, excellent drinks. Careful during event days and this place gets packed! Try the oysters on a half shell which changes weekly. The ribs are always amazing and when the brisket is good it is the best I've had save Austin.

Good atmosphere and awesome food. I had the beef brisket sandwich which was great! Some others in our party said the chicken was excellent. Prices vary depending on what you order but probably about $25 per plate. I will definitely be coming back if I'm in the Louisville area again.

Excellent food, great service. Had no complaints. Restaurant looks very nice inside. Tables were spacious and not crammed together. Waitress was excellent and offered helpful insights into the menu. I had Doc's Chicken which is a half chicken, smoked. Tasted great. My wife had the St Louis style ribs and they were awesome. Perfectly tender. We shared the sides, as they are served a la carte; they were also very good. Will be back, highly recommend.

I got a pulled pork sandwich which was good, but not fantastic. My son was happy with his smokehouse burger and my husband liked his club. The prices seemed reasonable and we enjoyed the interior of the restaurant. However, the service was bad. There was only one other customer (sitting at the bar) when we arrived, but we had to wait for our server to bring water (which is all we got because we were never offered any other drinks); take our order and bring our check. That level of service is inexcusable considering we were the only table she had to wait on. Once we were able to get our order placed, our food DID come quickly. Also, the view outside the window is construction. That is not their fault and is not factoring into my review; just thought people would want to know. Three stars based on average food and bad service.
