I would give negative review rating if exists. The management of Sanctuary at Highland Oaks community is terrible. Apartments are not clean when moved in. You will see roaches from day 1. The apartment I moved in has full of bad food smell, and the smell origins from the carpet, which means it lasts long time and difficult to remove. I requested the management to replace the carpet with bad smell, but they refused to even admit the bad smell! In addition, they delayed my move in date, which messed up my plan of moving. If you want to move into a nice and clean apartment without worrying your move-in date, please do not consider this community.

FOLLOW UP:
I see the follow-up by the manager, but most of time of my communications with the leasing office, they just have been ignorant and never try to solve the problem. You can easily tell how useless the management is from their response. Their pest control service is useless, otherwise how come so many reviews here are mentioning about the roaches. Regarding the odor of bad food smell, they mentioned in the response to do some kind of cleaning of carpet, which actually the previous leasing office did for my unit but did not solve the problem at all. What they need to do is really facing the quality issue of their apartments, and totally change a new carpet if the carpet is overwhelmed by bad food smell for such a long time. I hope my review can help you better understand the poor quality and service of this community.

Terrible staffs again and again! They simply hanged up my phone calls without listening to my complaint. They are very unfriendly and cannot help! The pest control person rated my apartment as poor so they came every week for the past one month even after I have done several cleaning for my apartment. I kept calling the staffs in the past month asking them to call the pest control for a detailed explanation. But they are even unwilling to make the phone calls. Which makes me more angry is that they hanged up my phone call directly today. Very unfriendly and unhelpful. And that also means the pest control person will come again this week. Do not choose this apartment if you do not want other people to enter your apartment every week. They show no respect to the tenant's privacy and safety!

But they just sent someone to take pictures without doing anything to help! Hope I could give zero star for this terrible service.

This place is absolutely infested with roaches. They crawl out of every crack and crevice no matter how clean you keep your apartment. They tell you they can spray when you first move-in but after that want to charge you as the ever-present roaches still persist. Do not believe the pictures they post. The 2nd pool was closed for over half of our lease. The ducks used it as a swimming pond. On top of that, the residents are very inconsiderate. They congregate in the parking lot spaces so you can't park and take walks, in groups, through the parking lot instead of the sidewalk that circle the lake. They let their many kids dart into the road running or on their little bikes and say nothing to them while you wait for them to move just to drive through. Upstairs neighbors stomp at all hours. You open your door to their bunches of shoes because everyone leaves their shoes outside the front door. The gates to this "gated community" are open at all times. In addition to the gates being open, the residents prop the doors to the pool and gym open so that local random people come in and use the amenities (witnessed on several occasions). You also pay for valet trash which comes when they so choose. Once they pick it up, they throw it in the grass ditch next to the garbage as the garbage is constantly overflowing. They put bed bug filled mattresses in the car wash stations as well. This place is also 90% Indian which is not a problem but they are unfriendly to anyone that is not of the same nationality. The leasing staff is also very uncaring and disorganized. They schedule apartment inspections, don't respond to rescheduling and then don't even show up on the day that they choose to schedule. If you are looking to rent at this place, please reconsider. It is in your best interest!

After reading reviews I am really scared to enter. .. Do i need to cancel the lease.. dont they have microwave in this apt

I moved to sanctuary a week back.. such a bad maintenance inside and outside apartment.. my first weekend when I woke up my floor filled with water due to leak in water heater .. they fixed it but the carpet guys r drying the floors still and no idea when they r going to fix all issues.. kitchen pipes leaking, doors not fixed properly.. windows locks are not working.. too many issues finding is happening.. it never happened in USA at any Apt when I move as a new resident Community outdoor not at all maintained ..

Recently moved to this Apartments. It's not worth living in this place.
"NO STARS" for this Apartments.

Prices are sky high for the given standard of apartments here. Apartments are old. Full with Cockroach, spiders, bed bugs and other insects.
The behavior of the staffs inside the leasing office is extremely rude and seems they are not professionals at all. Remember the name LINDSEY, JODY. they are worst persons.
Please don't move in to this Apartments.

The Sanctuary apartments are definitely a nice place to live. I’m very happy to live in this place for the past 15 years. This place is safe, clean and a very peaceful environment, I love the pool, gym, and other amenities offered. Kim and her staff are very friendly, professional and they always willing to help me with any issue. Lindsey, Robbins and Angie has been nothing but very helpful to me. The property is well maintained and the maintenance staff is top notch, especially Alex and Stephen. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice quiet place. I love that it is away from all the craziness in the town but also close enough.

I recently moved to the Sanctuary at Highland Oaks apartments and have had a great experience here. Steven, Maintenance Tech, is absolutely the best! HARD WORKING! He seriously knows how to fix anything and everything! Very personable :) He has a very kind, helpful, thoughtful personality :) He made sure he accomplished everything on "the list" :) Thank you Steven! Felix, Grounds Keeper, keeps everything looking so nice!!! Trees, grass, buildings. Even everyone who visits comments on how nicely manicured The Sanctuary is :) No trash lying around, everything looks new! Anyone with kids knows how hard it is to pick up after them! How many people there must be that live at The SanctuaryBut somehow he gets it done! Thanks Felix :)
