The Reserve is a great place to live! The staff is friendly, and maintenance responds qucikly and efficiently. Wouldn't be any place else!
I've been living here for over 6 months now, and my husband and I love this place. It's almost perfect. The location is amazing - being less than 2 miles from Publix, Kroger, Target, TJMaxx, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Marta station, you name it.
Our apartment came updated with all new amenities and it's one of the most affordable places in her area. There's a dog park, two pools, a small gym, and tennis courts. The place is pet friendly, of course, and has great floor plans.
Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!
DO NOT MOVE HERE! A leasing agent gave a key to my ex who is NOT on my lease. They didn't even bother to check, or call for for my permission. Thank God he isn't a murderer. It took over a month before they even came to change my locks. Rent goes up nearly $100 every year. No incentives for long term renters. They change property managers every few months. I've lived here for 4 yrs and everyone parks in the "loading zone" because parking sucks by our building, and the lines are barely visible. It's never been a problem, but today there was a boot on my car. No previous warnings were sent out about that, but they make sure to send cheesy newsletters about the "pet of month". The new manager basically said she didn't care about anything that did or did not happen in the past. Can't wait until my lease is up.
I lived at this property for nearly two years and was very disappointed in the facilities, security, and management turnover. The property has many great residents but the level of service went significantly down as the parent company cut out on'es ability to make payments in the office and the community lost an entire building to fire. The biggest concerns are the security gate being inoperable or left entirely open for days on end, poor or broken lighting in outside hallways, and multiple calls to the police for loud noises and gun shots ( all documented in writing to the front office). Also, poorly constructed mailboxes for residents were often inoperable, faulty or left open, inviting theft or mail fraud. Having run companies, worked overseas, and just finished up grad school in the past three years, i can assure you this is by far the worst run property I've ever seen. I'd recommend looking very closely before staying here, Caveat emptor.
A friend and I went to tour the property today around 3/4pm. When we got there, there was a sign on the door stating that they were doing a tour and will be back later. After waiting around for a few minutes, we noticed that the door was open and proceeded to wait inside. When we walked in, the lady at the desk (who I believe said her name was Mary…long dark hair) stared at us with a look of “what do you want?!” and continued working. After about three minutes she asked if she could help us. We said that we were waiting for the person who does the tours to return and she dryly stated that it was her. She showed us a room and acted bothered the whole time.
After we viewed the room (not the property) the tour was over. She wasn’t interested in providing additional information about the property, nor was she interested in going over pricing.
Although the room she showed us was nice, her distasteful attitude has me uninterested in The Reserve at Ridgewood.
The Reserve is back to the same problem again. Taren Brewer and Rachel made it a better place but , New staff is not ready to listen to your complaints.
I am struggling with a Bad Toilet issue for more than 3 months.
They never reply to emails and tell you to come to the office so that they can be rude and remind you that whatever you are going through, if you decide to leave you have to give 2 months notice and a month's rent to break the lease.
I don't recommend it to anyone for BAD Toilets, POOR staff and Very poor Play area, Broken Roads and for falling trees on cars.
I have my own personal pros and cons of this neighborhood but I will share my pros! This place is right next to EVERYTHING perfect location. Having the two pools is such a plus! Do not get me started on the layouts. I love them! You can not find square footage like this anywhere. The only reason I am not staying is because of job location and price. love it here. ASK FOR RACHEL ! SHE IS SO HELPFUL PLUS SHE HAS BEEN THERE THE LONGEST
Big place. Cool people. Close to everything. I'm happy. Can't beat the service.
I was going to move here but I switched jobs . The apartments are laid out like a house. It feels cozy and the staff is even better!
Great prices for the amount of room you get! They stay on top of keeping the grounds clean. They are pet friendly with a small dog park and clean up stations through out the complex. The staff is on top of fixing and answering problems. I hope I will stay here for years to come!
We've been here for 3 years.
Pros:
The property is always clean. Dog clean up stations help keep it that way.
Maintenance issues are usually dealt with promptly.
The community feels safe/secure for the most part. Residents feel comfortable allowing their children to play outside with the other children,
The location is convenient.
The receptionist are helpful and generally have a positive attitude.
The complex is a giant loop which in addition to the gym room is also great for exercise for those that don't want to walk on a treadmill.
There is a gym room, 2 pools, a tennis court and a small dog park.
Lately management has been reaching out to the tenants and holding small events like Pie Taste Testing, or holding community Tag Sales, these are nice! It is a chance to meet with our neighbors, etc.
Cons:
Managment/receptionists seems to change every 6 months to a year which is a little worrisome.
Some issues we have had with our apartment have fallen through the cracks due to the demand put on the workers it seems.
Be prepared for rent to increase a bit every year. The increase can vary.
Parking can be a pain sometimes.
Overall 4/5 stars. Really the only thing that will likely keeping us from staying here is rent.
