The person I was dating condo was in foreclosure and he eventually got locked up . Kristina was nice enough to allow my one year and old to stay and ride the foreclosure out , but she always seem to act as if she had a chip on her shoulder . I was robbed Sunday before the storm and my phone charger must of fallen during the robbery . Due to the fact that I wasn't a resident but living there she did not want me to use the phones . It was strange . Daniel is strange too . I liked her until that moment when she said I couldn't use the phones . I had to get into contact with my family and friends to let them know . Many on the concierge complain about her . She is very professional but something is off about her . She should learn to lighten up and stop acting so uptight . She seem like a communist if you know what I mean . Other than that this place is great . It just gets a one start because you know who is fake af .

I am one of the oldest residents of 1280 W. (Former Oakwood). I moved in on July 3, 2002, when this building was a rental property. I absolutely loved it for it's classy looks of gold and beige tones, great views, top of the line gym and convenience/cafe inside. I always appreciated a very solid construction along with the great big windows. You do not see it anymore. New constructions are more like lots of glass and do not give you a feel of safety. 1280 West is built well-it survived a tornado in 2010, while the glass constructions were damaged on the 10th St.
I saw a change of management in this building for good and worse, I saw thing were getting bad or good, but building stayed the same-safe place to live, best location, great views. 1280 W is getting older, like I am, and I accept that. It does need some repairs when they come.

1280 West is one of the iconic and most photographed buildings in Midtown. It's on every skyline picture of Midtown. It's one of the best and I am proud of living there!

It is sad to say I had to get the police involved when property management will not handle a serious issue I have been dealing with for over a year. Especially when I have reached out to the staff so many times! I have written letters, left messages, spoken over the phone and in person several times and I was not able to get anything resolved. Property management has the worst customer service! I wrote a letter specifically addressed to property manager Lisa Simmons and she never responded. Every time I ask to speak with her she is unavailable and I am told to leave her a voicemail. I have never been late on HOA payments but somehow have constant late fees and incorrect postings on my account. I've had management leave my keys on the lock with the door unshut for the whole day. Office management is so quick to address others complaints but not mine Maybe after I had the police come to my unit, I will finally get a call back from management.

I have lived here for 17 months and I have to say it's an awesome location. Walkable to Atlantic Station, Piedmont Park, and most of the Midtown Hotspots. About 8 minutes to walk to Cosmo Lava. Also, right across the street from the Arts Center Marta station, so you have easy access to Five Points, Philips Arena, Brookhaven, Lenox, or the Airport. The security and office staff are very friendly and helpful, and they call to notify me when I receive my packages of medical supplies. Apartments are nice with good view to the North (Buckhead), West (Atlantic Station), and South (Midtown). South is my favorite. Looking East you can make out Stone Mountain on a clear day. Parking is in a garage and I can generally find a spot pretty easily. There are two parking areas, one entrance on Spring and one on 16th, and occasionally the 16th street one will be full so I'll have to use the Spring street entrance. There are also "Reserved" spots that can be purchased at a monthly rate (not sure of the cost). You can buy some limited groceries at the convenience store on the premises, but they are closed on Sundays. Da Vinci's pizza is just downstairs, and is open late every night.
My main complaint is with the laundry situation. There is a laundry room on each level with 2 washers and 2 dryers, and each one costs $2 per load. I have only rarely found that someone else was using the machines when I needed them, but I can just go down or up 1 floor and use that room. The laundry is card operated, and there is a machine in the lobby that you can use to buy cards or add value. I just wish I had in-suite laundry.
There is also limited guest parking. The resident parking and living areas are key card restricted.
Since this is a condo, apartments are leased from individual owners through the on-site leasing office. I have found that this is a no hassle process both times I have had to go through it - the 2BR I got with a roommate and the 1BR I moved to later.
