The restaurant opens at 11am on weekdays and we were seated at that time, at an excellent table right on the beach! For that reason, get there early, if you can.It was packed by noon, not a very large place.The atmosphere, the staff, the service, the view, were all excellent. Prices were good, for the location, food quality, etc. It was a $15-25 range. Three of us spent $30/each for food/coffee. The mamosa was delicious, the Shrimp Scampi was good, fish tacos, etc looked delicious, at other diners' tables! The $5 Valet who parked my car was nice, because parking in Del Mar is aggravating.
Dress is casual chic. Good news for us, we didn't know what to wear, as we had never gone for brunch in Del Mar! But sundresses, nice shorts, dress jeans, polo shirts, etc. were perfect attire. And, you should wear easy-to-remove shoes, for a walk on the beach after your meal. It's a wonderful experience!

Wanted a great view to have a drink. Asked hostess if we could sit on deck which was about 1/3 full in early afternnon. She said no because we had to order from food menu. We said we would order appetizers and she still said no. As we walked to the bar seating we told the bar waitress we were disappointed. She said she would ask manager. After some time he came over to us and in a not very nice way told us he would make an exception this one time. Our waitress was nice and food was good. The manage
R had to come over again to ask if we were going to order any more food. Not cool. There were 5 of us. We each ordered a cocktail and we ordered one lunch entree and one appetizer. He made us feel unwelcome. Very unprofessional. I feel sorry for the employees. When we left there were even more empty tables. Owner beware. Your manager is not making friends

Our wait person waa fabulous, our food was excellent, the view and weather were amazing. What made the experience horrible this afternoon was the manager. He not only made us feel unwelcome, he was rude. We were not going to be seated outside because we made the mistake of saying we were there for drinks. Rule is you can't be on the deck if you don't order full service meals. There were at least 8 empty tables the whole time we were there. We were paying customers and we were ordering appetizers. He came up and said he would make an exception this one time. He asked twice if we were ordering more food. He stood over us and watched us. I would not go back here.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
No, I'm not a real state agent, but this place is all about the location.
Right at the beach in Del Mar, this place has amazing views and is perfect for a nice San Diego eat outside day (pretty much all year 'round).
The food is good, lots of variety and service is up to par.

The views are stunning and the calamari is even more stunning. The food is great the service is great the drinks are great this place is just great they have valet parking and there street parking. I had the scallops and red velvet cake and it was just amazing.

The view is beautiful, parking difficult, and food.. well, you'll see. I went with a friend for brunch and we were seated quickly. Everything was lovely until we got our veggie skillet.. It was drenched in oil. :( I had a shiny layer that was enough to cover the entire base of the skillet.. not very appetizing unfortunately. Remove the oil and all good!

The food was good not great. The service was poor. I was a server for 3 years and I know it can be tough.. but it wasn't busy and there were about 8 or so servers on the floor. My water was empty for 30 minutes and I finally got a refill when she finally looked away from her conversation with over servers to see me drinking out of my girlfriend's water. I cook better than that to be honest but it was still good food. I won't be coming back. If I am going to go out I want to be wow'd.

We originally just sat in bar area but when a table cleared on the patio over looking the beach the waitress was able to move us there. It has a wonderful view. I ordered the sea bass and my wife got a steak. Both were decent but not really great. Friendly locals struck up a conversation with us so it must be a place locals frequent. Would go back though just for the view which merited the 4 stars. If based just on fire and value probably 3. Just average for price but way better than any chain.

Ordered the seafood cioppino. Sounded fantastic but what I recieved was lack luster. The scallop was fantastic but the rest was just salmon pieces, 2 shrimp, and the smallest clams I've ever seen. Not worth the price paid and it will not fill you. The restaurant itself is very attractive on the inside and the outside patio is very inviting. Their drinks were great. Would of rather a better meal to otherwise go with an fantastic view of the ocean.
