Great place to stayThe hotel knows what it means to take care of their guest. You feel welcomed every moment of your stay and they can't do enough for you. Every person on the property provides first class service. The food is great in the restaurant, the rooms are very clean, and the beds are heavenly. The hotel is right on the beach and next to a pier with shops all along the walk way so there is plenty of things to see without going anywhere. Downtown is not far so the location is really good. Enjoyed the stay very much. Great job Tower23!

Really lovely spot - my husband and I spent three nights here following a conference downtown. The location on the beach is incredible, and the rooftop lounge is pretty hard to beat with unobstructed views of the ocean and PB sunsets. At night, there are heat lamps (we went in the fall), and a glass fireplace overlooking the water.

Staff are very friendly and helpful - they even offered to serve us food and drinks on the roof while we were relaxing so we wouldn't have to go downstairs. The food from the attached restaurant, JRDN was superb (we had steak). Everything was very clean and the suites are modern and comfortable. Definitely recommend. The only things we would change is perhaps the timing of the housekeeping (they came either early in the morning, or quite late in the day), and the availability of a gym/pool. However, overall it was a perfect mini vacation and we will definitely go back.

Food not so good. Husband got sick. Waitress started out great. Bigger table better gratuity came in. We weren't even given plates. She brought us our take home bag. SET THE FOOD ON THE GROUND!! GROSS. great view and drinks. Not good service. Cost too much for what you get. Food beware!

We stayed here after our wedding at the sanctuary room. The room was beautiful. My problem was that I called more than 3 times to try and get late checkout ( just 1-2 hours so we can sleep in) and they kept telling me we don't know. I mean for $500/night you should know.
We ended up getting 1 hour extended checkout and they charged us twice!! My husband called them 4 times before he was able to get someone on the phone because the security told him there were no receptionists.
We won't be staying here anymore even though we loved the room, but the service was not nice enough for the price we paid.

Absolute best hotel I've ever stayed at !!!! Super helpful super nice staff, rooms are very clean with views right on the ocean !!!! Beds are comfy too! And they welcome you with a complementary drink as soon as you check in your choice alcoholic or not !!!! Do yourself a favor and valet park it's totally worth it. Tory was very helpful at the front desk getting us beach chairs and towels and anything else we asked for. 5 star treatment from EVEYONE!

I ate at the restaurant at Tower 23. It was a bit surprising that no bread or chips were offered. I ordered the tenderloin was was really tasty but very expensive. Most of the dishes were up there in price. Service was good. Very good overall but be prepared to spend a lot of cash.

Love the happy hour here. Best selection of food and drinks in PB in my opinion. Great wine and beer list as well as cocktail options. Also great truffle fries, hummus, sushi and other HH options.

We only visited the restaurant JRDN, but it was a phenomenal experience. The restaurant is very clean and modern with a classy beach feel. The food and drinks were delicious, service was great and the view of Pacific Beach was gorgeous!

This place rightfully maintains its long standing reputation as " the place to be". Mr John and Mr Chris(woody) ensured excellent service. Lobster sandwich is top notch. High quality restaurant!

Just had drinks at the restaurant, but it was great! Staff was accommodating, drinks were good, and the view is incredible! We were there at sunset and sat outside where they have a view of the beach with outdoor heaters. Definitely go back

The location is great. We've stayed here several times and have never had a "bad room". Right on the beach and very close to the pier. No need for a rental car. Walk to restaurants, bars, Starbucks, Ralph's, and shops.

We stayed at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar for a conference in mid-December. It was a fantastic experience. The rooms and property are magnificent, and the staff is fantastic. I would highly recommend. The only downside is the distance to San Diego if you are looking to spend a lot of time in the city. Definitely need a car. It's an expensive taxi to/from the airport if that's your plan.

Fantastic location right on the boardwalk. Valet parking is easy and much needed in this busy surf spot. Beach gear is available from the front desk, and relaxing on the sky deck to watch a sunrise or sunset is wonderful. Rooms are clean and simple with a very modern decor. Surprisingly good for families considering that the area is more for the younger social set. Consistently helpful staff.
