Great spot! Great food, great drinks, atmosphere and music are always in point, and everyone who works there is professional! They have an old skool vibe when it comes to taking care of the customers with friendly, fun, and helpful service! And if someone gets outta hand and needs help they help! Such a great place!

Pizza was once in a lifetime out of town pizza experience! Great! Wifey had salad and ate the whole thing! Love the Downtown Open atmosphere! All round good experience!

Right out of the gate, the staff was excellent and very friendly! An important thing to note, the SMALL pizzas are big enough for TWO people. The pear salad is a fresh take on adding sweetness to the meal. Had an excellent night!

Good place for a quick cocktail and/or grab some pizza. The inside/outside feel is really nice virtually year round. The bouncers are a bit too aggressive for my liking (recently had to talk one down from frothing at the mouth when a - admittedly intoxicated - friend started to light a cigarette inside We had it out of his mouth and dumped it in his drink before he even got it lit, but security was WAY too aggressive about the situation).

Pizza was really good, but the atmosphere was great. A lot of natural light, comfortable seats, and good music. Came for lunch, will definitely be back to try out the nightlife version and see what the bar has to offer!

Spinach and feta pizza was really good! I actually ordered pasta, took them so long to make and was not good at all. I asked our server and she happily switched it to pizza! They didn't even charge me for pasta. Excellent customer service!!

This is my second visit to Basic and both times have been great. The service was good and the pizza was even better. Basic makes wood-fired pizza so if you have never tried it. I highly recommend wood-fired pizzas. They are delicious!

We had a large pizza called "so-meaty". It come with pepperoni, sausage, ricotta cheese, basil, and bacon. It was a delightful combination with a very thin crust.

This place is very good and I would recommend to anybody!

First time here. Delicious thin crust pizza. Don't let the name Basic fool you. It's simple ingredients done well. Sauce was good and not over powering. Loved the thin crust with the right bit of crisp.

Had pepperoni and sausage which was perfect. I definitely suggest getting extra cheese. That was my only downfall was it needed more cheese.

Quick seating when we went just after a baseball game started during the week. The crowds we're heading to the stadium.

Came here for the Miyazaki exhibit. I love that they do art shows and art classes in the building. It's fun to people watch while eating some delicious pizza!

Basic pizza serves up some delicious and rotund pizza pies. The pies come either sauced red (traditional) or white and are easy to fold and eat. The pies come in either small or large, but the small is pretty big (8-10 slices-feeds 2-3) for two. My favorite pies are the red with mozzarella, ricotta, pepperoni, and fried eggplant (YES FRIED EGGPLANT TRUUUUST ME!) or the white pie with mashed potatoes and bacon! Yesssss. The pies are very thin though so if you like lots of chewy crust, look elsewhere. Did I mention they have a cool bar, dance area, and big ass fans (literally giant ceiling fans made by the Big Ass Fan company)? Basic is hip, fun, and serves us delicious eats. Pies are sometimes inconsistent with regards to cooking and they are also not cheap (approximately $30 for 3 topping large) hence the 4 stars.

I missed my GT bus so I headed over here for a quick bite 2 slices of the daily special plus a fountain drink for $6.95+tax. I wasn't expecting much because I know this is a chain and I think thin crust is usually not filling enough for me, but it was pretty tasty better than average, warm, and fresh-tasting though it had been sitting in the display area next to the cashier. Plus the blonde guy with long hair working there was really nice and brought me the bathroom key when I realized it was locked! So +10 customer service points. Basically great for a quick lunch and not too greasy/little portions for pizza!!
