We ate dinner there is this week. Extremely high quality food at a fair price. We loved the atmosphere and the menu. Maria, the pastry chef, was also a delightful server.

I have not been here for about 3 year. It had changed owners and I must say, the change is incredible. The food and drinks are just plain amazing. Atmosphere is great.. Honestly the best waffles I have ever had. Light and fluffy inside while crispy outside. We ate here twice while visiting Barton. Every bite was just killer. This is some of the best food I have had out in while. If you see this, please
open a place in Portsmouth NH areaor Epping so I can eat here daily.

The food is delicious! The meatloaf with gravy is a standout, extraordinarily flavorful. The scallops and bacon were a big hit too. The special cocktails are worth trying if they interest you. This place is a delightful family-owned restaurant where the family includes a fine chef. Highly recommended!

I took my mom and aunt to parsons for lunch today. I had not been there in around 3 years. I use to love the place. We order Chicken & Waffles. the chicken was great but the waffles were thin and dry. We left most of the waffles on the plate. The gravy they served with them was pretty good. We had it on the side. We each had iced tea it was bitter and it was the smallest glass of tea I have ever been served. The prices were bad. The small tea was $2.50 each and they charged $16.00 each for the chicken and waffles. I have attached 2 pictures to show what the plate looked like. The staff was great. We decided we would not be going back. I am sad. I used to bring my gram to parson every week before she died.

I reviewed the parson restaurant yesterday because they served cardboard waffles with their chicken and waffles. They were dry and very thin. The owner replied that I should be ashamed of my review. Everything in my review is the truth. Unlike her attack on me. I am not from Georgia. I was born in Newport Vermont. I live at Brownington Pond in Derby. I told the waiter that I had visited the original restaurant that served Chicken & Waffles in Marietta Ga and tried to go back there every time I was in Marietta. Having a brown gravy with maple syrup over the top would not have helped the terrible waffles. I have put her response below.

“ We are so happy you came in..chicken was great..staff was great .gravy pretty good..very nice..service greaticed tea was brewed this morning..no bitterness .never heard of that before with iced tea..please don't come back..I heard your from Georgia..well next time order it like it is in the menu..no on the side stuff and see how the dish is supposed to be served..your the the customer that we do want..great this and great that .but leave a 2 star review..you should be ashamed of yourself..I am very
sorry for your grandmother's death we are working on the waffles .thank you “

Instead of her being ashamed of serving cardboard waffles, what they refer to as fluffy waffles she has attacked me. She said that she is working on the waffles. Maybe she should work on them before she charges customers $16.00 for them. You need to stay clear of this place. The owner does not know what she is doing and has no respect for her customers. There are other great places to eat in the area.

We were in the area for two nights. We like this place so much, we ate dinner here both times.
Orleans County is lucky to have this gem of a restaurant. They deserve a try!

We have been coming here twice a year for the past 3 years and loved it. Today was the exact opposite. My wife ordered pancakes and in between the cakes were some fried onions and a couple of mushrooms. Apparently the grill had not been scraped down. My daughters Reuben had soggy bread and according to her was just okay. It used to be a favorite. Her boyfriend and myself had poached eggs. The whites were not cooked and we're like clear jelly. He had Benedict and I had mine on hash. One of my eggs was broken and the rye was soggy. We both sent them back. When we were reserved, the eggs were cooked but the rest of the food on the plate was still on the plate. The hash still has uncooked egg whites as did his English muffins. They should have been completely new plates with all fresh food. I went to the counter and told the server and just asked for the check. The cook was not the person who had always been there. I do not know if he sold the business or just isn't around. I always raved about this place. Never again, just too much wrong.

After being seated, we waited 15mins before we were given menus. After ordering, we waited and waited.. it became almost comical how long we sat, we were finally served an hour after we ordered with apologies from our waitress. The lunch was absolutely the worst we ever had. The sandwiches were dry, the fries were overcooked even the side of coleslaw was terrible! Sign said chef owned.. Really

This place is horrible!! We went in to sit down and they said "sorry we don't have enough tables!" So we sat at the bar, everyone in the place stared at us and it was very uncomfortable. We sat at the bar for 15 minutes waiting for service when we decided to leave. Very rude people in here who clearly do not like anyone who isn't a local. Stay away!!
