Tried the salty dog that was featured on Dine ins drive ins and dives. Excellent service. Would have been better if it was an all beef hotdog.

Decent atmosphere. Usually not a wait but there is a reason for it. Food isn't the best but if you're in a pinch or a hurry, it will do. Friendly service

Great service but the food is a classic tourist trap. Packaged sides and low quality mains. Even the hot dog was a dissapointment. Gave two stars instead of one just because the service was great and the atmosphere was quite good. Great place for a beverage, but avoid the food if you can.

The waitress was rude from the beginning. Acted like we were an inconvenience for the entire time. It took 25 minutes to get a drink and it wasn't even crowded. We ordered appetizers and the waitress kept harresing us to order a meal before the appetizer was even half way done. We decided to leave because she ruined our outing on such a beautiful day. We work very hard all the time and don't get to go out much. This was a huge disappointment.

I can't stop talking about our experience with OSD SK last weekend to all my friends and family! We hosted our high school reunion in the bar area and it was an ABSOLUTE HIT! OSD was MORE than accommodating, wonderful customer service, food was HOT and delicious, great location (obviously), and everyone had SO MUCH FUN! We can't thank Scott and the OSD SK Team for all that they did for us this past weekend! I personally recommend the wings! : )

Amazing food, drinks, & service. We visited twice while on vacation. My husband says the fish tacos are the best he has ever had, with the amazing boom sauce. I had the fish & chips twice and it was so good and filling. We will be back.

Stumbled across this place just driving around after hanging out at the beach. Good food and atmosphere. Great clam chowder and fish gumbo. Salty dogs are good. We had lobster and a fish sandwich. Drinks are great and service was fantastic. Recommended for everyone.

Food was good and the price was reasonable. The atmosphere was laid back and the restrooms were clean. The island tacos were good. I had mine with blackened shrimp.

Service was great, and the vibe was nice. Had my pup with me, and they took great care of him! Water served quickly, and he got a dog treat, too. My server, Riley, was awesome and checked on me frequently. The food was good, nothing exceptionally great but still good. Mostly standard Florida pub fare.

Just ate there tonight and was very disappointed. Upon arrival the hostess did not even greet us. She stared at me blankly and after about 30 seconds of silence said "2?" I said yes, she asked if we wanted seating inside or out and I said inside. Then after all the other tables open, she sits us directly next to the kitchen. Terrible. The waitress was nice but the food was sub par. I ordered lobster roll which basically came on a broken piece of white bread and some over cooked fries costing me $17. My friend orders the fried oysters and they were raw on the inside. Waitress never came back to refill drinks. Very disappointed. Will not be back and I would not recommend this location.

The food is marginal at best and way over priced. I realise this is Siesta Key, a tourist hot spot, but still, $20+ for greasy fish and chips? I wasn't impressed with their fish and chips. Too greasy and the chips were marginally warm. The service was also slow. It took the waitress 15 minutes to bring us our drinks and the food took over 30 minutes to arrive after we ordered. I don't recommend the Old Salty Dog. Better establishments elsewhere in the village.

The majority of the staff had a bad attitude. We were told the wait was 30 minuets, yet there were 16 open tables on a Saturday night. We left before we were even seated due to the rude staff. We walked down the street and found The Hub restaurant had had a great time. The staff was amazing and the food was great. Don't waste your time going to salty dog with many other nice restaurants so close by.
