American course is really interesting. British course is nice. Fairways we're not great, but for the price it's fine. Greens were best around. Play was quick!
ALL NEW MANANAGEMENT!
We had a great time. Fast and yummy lunch service and happy hour drinks. Inviting and clean atmosphere. Its our new "go to" place, even days we don't golf.
I liked the two courses as they are very pretty and the conditions were pretty good in April
People were nice but no restaurant no food no bending nothing to drink otherwise very nice
Our iconic hometown golf course is in the center of Sarasota within city limits and offers everything a golfer could want.
Great for what it is! If you're looking for a destination for your golf trip to Florida this isn't the place for you. As far as public courses go it's great! The fairways are pretty rough and the greens can be slow (but since it's Florida it rains all the time). Staff is wonderful and helpful. The prices are great for summer, I haven't played there during season but I play every weekend as a college student and can afford it.
Only good part of the course was the greens, how can you plug fairways and leave the plugs on the fairway, most fairways under repair and at 7:50 on the morning to much water on the greens..should have listen to other golfers and played Legacy
One wants to love the place. The pro shop people and starters on both courses could not be nicer. Tee boxes and greens are generally OK but the fairways are very poor. Lots of bare stretches seemingly on every hole. Drainage after a rain is awful and balls frequently end up in unplayable puddles. Finally new restaurant management is a big disappointment. The outdoor grill at the turnaround has raised prices, lowered quality and is only opened a few days a week. We never stop there anymore. It has negatively affected the golf experience.
Went here with 3 of my friends. We had fun! We played the British course. I would say it was pretty worn out tho, lots of holes & bare spots all over. Dirty gray sand in the bunkers.
Convenient public course with reasonable rates. But this is a dog-track of a golf course! The tees are OK, the greens were very good (British course). Tee to green is horrible and many of the bunkers are dirt. And some local (cart guy knew him by name) was chipping and putting on the 18th green as we were approaching. We had to yell four just to get his attention before we hit. He then proceeded to pick up my sons ball on the green and walk off with it. Never in 45 years of golf have I seen something like that!
It's a well run course and needs to be because of the high volume of play. The fairways are cut too close for the ball to have any cushion to hit off of and the greens are hard and dry so very hard to hold. Overall pretty good value.
