Awesome pool, large hot tub, and dry sauna. Rooms are clean with refrigerators. Staff is very friendly. Hotel has private access and beach on the lake and awesome views.

nice views from the rooms. I liked the tunnels under the hotel so we didn't have to go in the cold

We had our annual company party here. Wait staff was excellent, happy and kept the appetizers coming out. Bar tender was good kept the drinks full. The room we were in was very spacious for 50 people. We did stay the night as well with a lake side room. Amazing view first thing in the morning. Would be better in the summer. Would definitely recommend this place for events and vacation stays.

Excellent resort! Nice big rooms. Great service. Clean. Tons of amenities. Stayed for the New Year's celebration and it was fantastic. The food was excellent and the band was great. My only quip is the lack of outlets in the parking area for block heaters. I hijacked an outdoor light to plug my truck in. It was -10 overnight.

The Margate is the cleanest Resort around that I've been too! The pool is very inviting being right at the front door. Just the cleanliness of the whole place is great! 👍 Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

The place is not worth the money it charges. First room sent to was very damp musty smelling.. they changed my room after they said they were sold out. room was not cleaned after last quests.. rug had a large tear in it. Second day gone all day back at 5pm room had not been cleaned staff said they don't have enough help to clean..rooms have not been cleaned properly in a long time. Find another place.

Ive stayed here twice, a year apart. Accomidations are nice and staff is friendly. Lots of families and good access to the lake, regardless of whatever room you end up in. The only thing id do different is hire a great bartender. We like to hang out on the lake, but don't order drinks with more than like 2 ingredients. Totally not something to prevent me from ever coming back, or even ordering drinks from the bar, but id like some killer mix drinks while on the lake.

The resort was really nice and relaxing and in a great location right on the water. Staff was friendly and our rooms were even ready when we got there to check in a little early. Rooms were clean and spacious. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 - drinks at the bar by the water were expensive and not made well. Most of the drinks for our party were made with almost all mixer and little alcohol (white russian was basically all cream and very little of anything else). Did not enjoy paying that much for such a poorly made drink.

My wife and I just stayed here for a friend's wedding and we absolutely loved it. Friendly staff. Everything was pleasant and the amenities and views were terrific. Continental breakfast was very nice and the hot breakfast buffet is only $7! Even though there were 2-3 other weddings going on and it was a summer weekend, it never felt crowded. Lots of activities and the fire pits at night were a nice touch. Would definitely stay here again.

I'm only deducting one star because for the price things could have been better. The check-in process could have been smoother (disgruntled employee?) and the general decor and fixtures in the rooms are very dated. Carpets look like they could use changing or at least a thorough steam cleaning.

Though the lake view is eye-catching, the resort is well over priced for the single bed room with no luxuries. The rooms are small. The service is sub-par, at best. There are no amenities included other than what you will find in your room. The breakfasts are charged to upgrade to a "hot breakfast."

Beautiful location and rooms. I went here for a wedding. There is a bar on the beach area. The rooms are really clean. The pool is nice too.

Good lake front location. Away from the crowds. Standard motel rooms and amenities. Has a private beach and bar/restaurant on the water and food service on the beach. Plenty of beach chairs.

Service staff at the beach bar were great. Ran out of the beer I was drinking. Heard others talking about how they didn't have what they wanted too. Seems like management needs to pay attention to stock levels better.
