Just no finer place in the nation than The Little Theatre in Rochester, NY!
This is five-screen cinema complex featuring the best of independent and foreign films and documentaries as well.
The Little Cafe is a great place to grab some food and to hear outstanding local musical talent. The Cafe also features an art gallery with rotating

Great theater for both independent as well as mainstream movies. Also popcorn and treats are better priced than big chain theaters.

Best range of movies in town, if you like to think they show great 'regular' movies too, but also so many you won't find anywhere else. Terrific ! The Cafe' is wonderful too; good food, good wine, good desserts. And great entertainment: music & singers of all different types. Plus a regularly rotating Art Show, of pieces by local artists, many for sale. Clean bathrooms, some parking, friendly staff. Great popcorn ! :-)

Great movies and fresh popcorn. The cafe also offers local music (regulars are awesome!) good food, beer & wine and coffee. Ohand art that changes monthly.

I fell in love with The Little soon after moving to the region, though it was an hour's drive to get there from home, the selection of titles drew me like a moth to a flame. The only thing I never liked was having to choose one film over the others. Along with the pleasure of consistently excellent art on the screen, this place gives me hope. When I scan through popular cinema listings and despair, I can always click on The Little's website and be revived.
Then there's their wonderful cafe with it's simple but delightfully varied menu that always offers something I know I'll enjoy. An entree, a shared salad and a glass of pretty respectable wine, and for not much of a hit to my wallet, my date and I have been graciously prepared for an evening's entertainment. If it were to get any better, I'm not sure I could stand it.response / report this review -

Great place, must visit sometime if you live in Rochester. They frequently have film festivals here, along with more indie films shown.
