The Inn itself is ok, what you would expect from an efficiency hotel. It’s the pricing that is ridiculous! Room rates will vary from day to day, & they are not helping the patients at all by keeping the price reasonable.
We scheduled for 2 days at $167/day to get the lay of the land. (First time there.) Had to stay for 3 more days, when I went up front to extend stay, found out price was going up to $197-$234 depending on the day. As my father-in-law would say, “getting rich off human misery.”
2 Hampton Inns close by with much more reasonable rates. H.I. On Beach Blvd has special rates for Mayo patients ($114+) plus shuttle service.
I can’t say enough! This is the nicest place ever. All staff are friendly and efficient. The facility is beautiful and easy to navigate. The food in the cafeteria was even good. I feel very safe here and that is the most important thing if you need to be here because you are already scared. All good!
Easy access to Mayo Clinic through indoor walkways and in a convenient area of Jacksonville. My only complaint is the room door slams shut. This is easily heard from other rooms too.
Absolutely an amazing place. Great, friendly workers, & the room was above & beyond anything I was expecting. The price was low and they exceeded our expectations. And my goodness at the breakfast Wow!! I wish I woulda took some pictures.
Convenient access to the Mayo. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Left my phone charger in my room, checked out, and three hours later it was nowhere to be found. The front desk was very helpful in looking for the charger, but it was sadly gone. Good place to stay.
Very convenient, nicely appointed and clean. Our room had two large beds, full kitchen area with dishwasher, cooktop, fridge and necessary accessories for cooking with an extended stay. I would give it 5 stars, but it's starting to show it's age a little bitnothing badly, we will be returning!
The staff is amazing and go out of their way to assist you. The rooms are like having a 1 bedroom studio apartment which makes your extended stay a little easier. The walk way from the inn to the clinic makes it very convenient to visit your loved one without any extra added stress.
My boyfriend and I found this place online but had no idea until we went to check in that it was an actual clinic for sick elderly people, we thought that it was named Mayo clinic not that it was an actual clinic. The room was spacious and had a full kitchen which was great but we had reserved a room with a tub and the girl at the front desk was rude and looked like she was miserable! When we spoke to her about us not getting the tub she told us no other room was available with a tub and then said "if you want my opinion, stick with the room you have because sick people use those tubs anyway and I wouldn't feel comfortable using these tubs" it was almost like they don't clean the tubs very well. I would've given this place one star but the fact that the kitchen was great I have it 2!
My experience led me to conclude they are "trading on brand name". Do not confused Minnesota facility quality of care with the Jacksonville facility.
It's very accomodating and makes life a lot easier if you're at the Mayo for a surgery. Instead of having to find another hotel not affiliated with the clinic you can just go here as its connected right to the hospital. They will even go grocery shopping for you if youd like!
Cleanest Hotel we've stayed at in Jax Beach! Super nice rooms. Very friendly staff. Great complimentary breakfast!! Fantastic experience!!!
Delivered pizza from Dominos to an employee. She was incredibly sweet. Took very good care of me. I've also delivered to patients there. Very clean and beautiful place. Would highly recommend
Reported roaches in our room. No one came to inspect while we were there. Staff was very nice and polite The rooms and hallways had a funky odor. Maid service was good. Will stay again due to the Mayo being very close.
