We are so glad The Hut reopened. We have had nothing but great food, especially the fried Haddock, and prime rib, but so far all the dishes are tasty, and well prepared.
They offer a full bar, beer, and wine, as well.

While we live within 10 miles of The Hut, I think it would be a nice drive for anyone, from anywhere, located in the rural community of Buckingham, it gives you a sense of being away from the busy streets, and businesses, although not far from them at all.
The Hut is located on a beautiful piece of property, it feels very tropical, Koi pond, benches to sit on, all surrounding the outdoor dining area.
The inside is very nice, lovely hand painted art on the walls, a nice clean atmosphere, and restrooms. There is also a small sports bar type of feeling place indoors, on the other side, if watching sports, and shooting a game of pool is more your speed.
We always enjoy the great outdoor atmosphere, the staff are always polite, and attentive. We enjoy dining here a few times a month, never disappoints!!!

We are always happy to see the owner there, and one of the wonderful, and favorite bartenders Angie. Keep up the great Work! Glad you're back open!!!

Very wonderful 'tropical', peaceful setting, well groomed with waterfalls flowing around the outdoor bar area with a huge wooded walkway/patio area. Inside is a good view of that tropical setting with mural walls. The best part is the wonderful tasty food. Our big group had fish, the portion filet size is the width of the plate & very flaky. Delicious ribs fell off the bone, shrimp & salmon so tasty & several choices of veggies as the sides, along with plentiful basket of home-made bread rolls. Service was great for our table of 11. Very highly recommended. Just wish they would have music again in their outdoor stage, like it did a couple years ago.

Battered beer fishfish was goodbatter just isn't my thing. I like a bread crumbs. Beans need flavor.try a little more bacon grease and some beef bouillon and make sure they are hot. Hubby had Salmon. It was good!

The place just bugs me.beautiful setting but.. ..I realized it's the can lighting. There is no ambient lighting.the room is sectioned off which is a good thing but the lighting is just not right. Also put placemats in tables and out small bread plates for those delicious rolls!

We recently read that the Hut reopened so we had lunch there today and it was very good. We have so many great memories of the Hut from the 90s when it had a Polynesian theme, a great singer named Jerry who sounded like Willy Nelson, beautiful gardens and exotic birds. The gardens are still there and the setting is so lovely. The food is good and so is the service. Go and give it a try!!

Best for dinner. Prices are reasonable. Quality and presentation are way better than you would expect in such an out-of-the-way place.

We love this place and had a very enjoyable dinner on Tuesday June 7th. My hubby ordered the fried shrimp and while I love my husbands homemade fried shrimp; this was outstanding! The breading was perfect, not too much and had tasty seasonings. Both meals arrived together and perfectly hot. I ordered the Mahi-Mahi blackened w/the mango salsa and will enjoy what I couldn't finish. Both dinner's had the tastiest yellow and zucchini squash. The wait staff was excellent and attentive without hovering. Yepper, this place is a keeper.Alas, it's closed "for the summer". We can only hope that they are able to regroup and serve the Buckingham and surrounding area.

We at dinner there on a Sunday night (June 14, 2015) and the food was amazing. Everything from the homemade rolls, to the juiciest ribeye steak i have ever eaten to the rum cake dessert that was an array of burst of flavors. Chef JD made rounds to all the tables to greet the guest. That truly is a chef who cares about his restaurant and the happiness of his guest.
I would highly recommend revisiting The Hut if you have not been in awhile.

In restaurant-challenged SW FL, the Hut stands above them all. Breathtaking interior, excellent staff, scrumptious food, and the enormous and mature exterior landscape invites one to really kick back. The chef specials can't be beat! Best bar burger in FL, period. Impress your gal, book out to the Hut, and then catch Blues down the street (same owner). You're welcome.
