This is a great location for a trip to Santa Barbara. Close to the waterfront and Stearns Wharf. It is a hacienda style building with lovely tiles and thick wooden doors.
Plenty of parking and friendly staff.
They offer an included served breakfast in a nice dining room. There are either two or three options with fresh fruit always served as well. My problem was I didn't like any of the offers however that wasn't a problem as they cooked me a couple of eggs and toast.
We stayed in a queen room on the ground floor which was quite small. They did offer us a larger room at a reasonable price but we decided to stay with our first choice.
Santa Barbara has a problem with homeless people especially along State St but we didn't encounter any problems around the hotel.

My wife and I enjoyed our overnight stay here. Close to train station, pier, and harbor. (No car; we walked everywhere.) Staff were friendly and helpful. A little pricey but we came on a weekend. I feel comfortable recommending this inn.

The Eagle Inn is one of my favorite hotels on the beach in Santa Barbara. Some of the room features I truly love are their large whirpool tubs, fireplaces and balconies ideal for romantic evenings or weekend getaways at a very reasonable price!

Great service offering amenities like free breakfast in bed, free bike rentals, and free DVD rentals. Nicely decorated rooms. Close to the beach, Amtrak, and Started Street. Would love to stay here again.

We just visited last week and had a delightful time. Samantha, took care of us and gave us a lot of helpful Information about the area. The entire staff was great and made our stay great.. The Eagle inn will be our go to place.. We were on the train and it is a short walk from the station.

Quite possibly the most hospitable stay in Santa Barbara. Very friendly staff, quaint rooms, jacuzzi tub, breakfast provided, and a king size bed. Room was well furnished, and even had a fireplace. We were met with a complimentary welcome snack basket. Not too far from the beach and downtown State St. Bikes are on site and can be rented. Refreshments provided in the lobby. Highly recommended if you find yourself in Santa Barbara!!!!!

This hotel seems to be trying to split the difference between an actual hotel and a bed/breakfast. The room was more "homey" than a standard hotel room, and the building has the paper thin walls that seem prevalent in B&Bs, but each room has its own bathroom like standard hotels. They also have a limited menu available for the included breakfast, which varied from omelettes to egg scrambles to lox and bagel made in their kitchen.
I'm not sure if the parking lot for the place is large enough to allow everyone to park there if they're at capacity (there was one spot left when I arrived late Friday night) and street parking in Santa Barbara for non-residents can be problematic.
The Inn is located an easy walk from the beach and pier, and also from many of the wine tasting locations.
This wasn't my first choice for hotels, but if my first choice is filled next time I'm planning a trip to Santa Barbara, I would not be against staying here again.
