Stayed at the hotel santa barbara for a free nights while working on wildfires. They were very gracious to have us and the location was excellent with lots to do in walking distance. Parking was sightly limited though
Great Location, comfortable and good value for money.
Everything you could want from an historic hotel experience. Beautiful with extremely attentive service and personnel. On top of that, one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed. I'll be back!
Nice historic hotel. The only real complaint is the central air - can't keep the room cold enough for me at night
Having stayed at hotel santa Barbara several times the staff is great and you can't beat being in the heart of state St walking distance from all the bars and restaurants Love it and I love Santa Barbara
Charming hotel right in the heart of State Street Santa Barbara. You couldn't find a better location for a hotel. This is my hotel of choice whenever I come to Santa Barbara for work.
The rooms are small, but it's all I need for one person. There's barely enough room to put your suitcase anywhere. But it's comfortable and clean, for the most part. You can tell it's a historical hotel -- been there for many, many years. Gives it a quaint, charming feel. Even down to the old tiny elevator with the accordion style door that you have to manually close.
Front desk staff are always very friendly, and the valet staff is SUPER friendly.
Save the gold coin they give you and next time you'll get $10 off per night! Adorable touch.
Decent place. I thought it's a little overpriced, but the location is good. Clean rooms, though dated. The elevator was out of service during our stay, so if that's important, call ahead. An easy walk from the Amtrak station, a little farther to the beach and harbor, and there are regular buses if the walk is too far. Several nearby restaurants, including Joe's Cafe across the street, for lunch and dinner (very good).
It's a nice boutique hotel on State. Small room. High price, but hey, that's SB. We were in second floor corner room above high noise level and lots of partying on the street. Couldn't hear a thing! So great sound proofing!
Clean rooms, nice staff. Perfect location. Just wish I could open windows.
We booked a room for five nights. At 4.30 pm the room was still not ready ( we had a 7 hours flight ) . The room was not clean ( hair on the toilet, carpet stained and a strong odor of freshly sprayed air freshner ). We ask the attendant to change room and they gave us a smaller room withe the view facing another building carpet was stained also on the floor and insect was on the curtain. we were not happy and they ask us to try another room with was directly in the stairwell, this room looked even smaller and smell weird too. they finally gave another room but close to the elevator so it make a lot of noise ( the elevator is an historic thing that they keep for the charm of it) . Bad customer service I think they should have upgraded us and after one night wee are now looking to move to another hotel. Not recommended
Beautiful hotel, wonderful and helpful service, and ideal location!!! This place has it all and to top it off, the continental breakfast was also amazing! Definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone traveling to Santa Barbara!
Great boutique hotel, with a large hotel chain level of quality, if not better. Very helpful and friendly staff. And beds so comfy you will not be able to make it to the Continental Breakfast!
Can't really describe the experience staying in this hotel, since I was only in it as the hub for the SBIFF International Film Festival, but it was fabulous for that! One day I was early enough to see what they had out for breakfast for their patrons, and it looked nice- waffles, pastries, coffees. Maybe they had more that that earlier, not sure since we weren't part of that. But the decor is very nice inside, well designed. A pretty place, and SO well located on State Street next to all the stores, bars, theaters, and a short electric bus ride away from the ocean.
