Beach front, cozy boutique hotel what is there not to like? Oh yeah! The seasoned staff whom will scam your beach facing king size room for a queen size room under the stair by saying, “your king size room is not ready yet (well passed 4:00pm), but there is another room with a queen size “bed” is available, it’s very cute and I like it very much! Would you like this one instead?”. Then you found out you are under the stair with a small window facing the stair wall. “Cute huh?”
The alarm would mysteriously wake you up at 8:30am whether you set it up the night before or not. You are overstated your welcome.response / report this review -

Very nice hotel across from the Santa Barbara Harbor and beach. Very nice rooms with a free safe for your valuables and a well stocked refrigerator and snack bar. Parking is by Valet parking only with an $18 per day fee. You can access your car as many times as you want. Free bicycle rentals are available but bring your own lock and cable. This hotel is within 5 minutes walking distance from the historic Stearns Pier and in the other direction the fishing fleet harbor. Great place for truly fresh fish.

I'd say this hotel was good for $140 a night but it was well over $300. So it was totally overpriced, but so was everything else in Santa Barbara. The room was basic and design theme to speak of. Three was noise from the street and other rooms. Overall i felt it was pretty bad for the price. Disappointed really. Breakfast was below average and served in a tiny room with a buffet which was like feeding time at the zoo. So busy. I wouldn't stay there again. Great location for the beach.

Nice grounds, rooms recently updated, but still has an old world charm. Rooms do not have air-conditioning but came in both June and October and since it is right on the beach, it is not completely unbearable. Very dog friendly! Beautiful hotel, have stayed here couple times and have enjoyed my stay both timeswill most likely stay here again!

Super cute atmosphere. Rooms were nice and comfortable, just be aware that they lack air conditioning. Staff was friendly and helpful. The nightly wine tasting was nice, breakfast very good. Beautiful views of the ocean with fireplaces and comfortable seating on the common patios. Walkable to many good areas with art and restaurants, free bike rentals for two hours as well which was fun.

Just checked into our room. No AC in any of the units. Very friendly staff. They were willing to go out of their way to make us satisfied. Great location. Very clean and modern. Bunk beds for kids! The views from hotel Milo are amazing. Very classy place. Won me over on the breakfast!

Fantastic location and beautiful resort. For the price, I expected Air Conditioning, but have found Santa Barbara commonly does not have AC. The bathrooms are very standard, and showers do not have much water pressure. Other than that, the breakfast was decent (nothing hot, but had variety of breads & cereals, yogurt & hard boiled eggs) and you can sit outside in a cute courtyard or facing the beach. There are also two saltwater pools and hot tubs, accompanied with a nightly complimentary wine tasting. I would definitely stay there again.

4 star level. Great staff. Free wine tasting 4-6pm. All the rooms newly renovated. Everything new from mattresses too tv. Free fast WiFi. Directly across the street from the beach. New equipment In the gym. Everything you want in one place. Worth the price.

For the location, the price is right (although watch out for the $15/night resort fee). It's walking distance to downtown, the wharf, and the beach. The room I had is another story. This place bills itself as a boutique hotel. If "boutique" means old, then it would be an accurate description. The building I stayed in seemed to be an apartment building transformed into a hotel. I stayed in what was essentially a studio apartment. The king bed took up almost the entire room with little space to walk around. However the common and dining areas are nice. The staff are friendly. I was on a business trip, so my company paid the expenses. For future trips, I'll pick nicer hotels. But for a personal vacation, I'd consider Milo again due mainly to the location.

Charming Mediterranean feel on gorgeous beach front. Great huge palm tree lined dog green space. Lovely gardens, family run feel, priceless location. Great 2 day stay can't wait to return to Santa Barbara and Milo again for longer. Thank you!!

Stayed at an ocean view King bed room. The view was nice and the bed was comfortable and clean. The pillows are a bit too big for my liking. I didn't like the surprise resort fee as it didn't seem like a resort hotel and we weren't around long enough to use the amenities (1 night).
