Clean, helpful. Great price for being so close to the beach and dinning.

Great no frills option. Breakfast included is decent (what you’d expect for the price) and location is awesome right between downtown and the water.

Nice semi updated room, nice private patio. Good location, close to beach & downtown. Need to put something under the door to block out the noise from hallway & parking lot. No light for patio but it was ok.

We enjoyed our stay at the Avania Inn, from the check-in done by a young lady to the check-out the next morning. I believe the Avania Inn has the best quality/price ratio and offers a free breakfast in the morning. It's well located near the beach front next to other hotels that are much more expensive. The room we had was nice, clean and comfortable. I like to post positive reviews and I treat people the way I like to be treated, which is with respect and with a smile on my face, which I believe makes a difference and opens many doors. We checked-in on 10/26 for a one night stay. Parking can be tight on the property if the hotel is full, but we left our car parked when we arrived and enjoyed walking the area. I will certainly return to the Avania Inn if we visit Santa Barbara in the future.

Clean and comfortable, location is good. Make your own waffles of breakfast is fun. But too pricy for a basic motel.

We had scheduled the hotel stay about a week from our trip online. The description described free parking (wohoo)! There was no fine print, we looked. We thought this would mean it would work just fine if we met at the hotel. Upon arrival, we found that this was not the case, the free parking was for one car. No worries, we can park one on the street we thought. We weren't familiar with the area; therefore, we asked for a recommendation. We were met with rude and short responses. Upon asking the management if there was a solution, we were told no. Due to the amount of trouble with had with checkin, parking, and how the staff handled themselves throughout the process, we decided this would be a difficult hotel to work with, canceled our reservation and will stay elsewhere.

Extremely over priced for a run down motel. Paid $50 more than the competitors just to be harrassed by the front desk. We asked to stay another night but decided to go somewhere else after the lady at the front desk said don't tell me how to run my business. You would like to think going somewhere on vacation you would met with hospitality not attitude. If I were you I would avoid this horrid place.

Nice hotel in a great location only a couple of minutes from the beach. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The rooms are recently renovated and had comfortable beds. Recommended.

Very close to the wharf and lots of good restaraunts. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were not fancy, but nice, nothing bad to say except that the a/c took a minute to find. You can tell that the owners take good care of the place.

Nice standard hotel. Clean and well kept, located a short walk to the beach. The free breakfast was average.

It was more expensive than I would have like it to be. It was nice room, not great, but nice. The breakfast was good. It was good, but definitely not great

This was probably the worst value hotel I've ever stayed in. Not that is was a bad hotel, it was just the most I've ever spent on an ok hotel. Since we arrived before normal check-in, we asked if we could store our luggage. The lady at the desk, who was not friendly at all, told us to leave it in the corner of the lobby. She assured us that it would be safe, but that really didn't sound like a good idea. We pressed her further and she grumpily offered to lock it in a closet. The room was fine with a decent bed and linens. The bathroom was basic and clean. The room did have a small air conditioner which we appreciated.

Great location. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Newly renovated, the interior is nice & comfortable. However the walls are SUPER thin You can hear everything in the adjacent rooms, so if you're there for peace & quiet or a light sleeper, you should come with ear plugs.
