We had a few drinks at the lobby bar. Prices were very reasonable, great location and the bar was gorgeous. It can be a bit of a wait, but not too bad. We had a table in about 10 minutes. They also have live music which is very nice. Would recommend stopping in if you're in the area.

If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around

What a treat. First time in Austin and stayed at the beautiful Driskill Hotel. Aside from the beauty of the hotel, the customer service was everything you would expect from a Hyatt property. Naturally, my colleague mentioned the hotel was rumored to be haunted as we arrived and although I was nervous about a ghost sitting in the corner of my room in the middle of the night, I’m happy to report that was not the case. Additional, the bar was fun with nice food options. My room was on the ‘new’ side and extremely spacious. High ceilings and tons of light fixtures. Great location for shared rides. Overall, amazing experience.

Hip vibe, good music, make sure you flag down the bar staff with a $100 bill since this place is packed and you want service all night. Then when it comes time to close out the bill be fair and consider the level of service and tip according to service. You all thought I was gonna stiff my server didn’t you. Shame on you

The menu was incredible, the food was to die for, the service was impeccable. The restaurant itself was stunning. I loved our experience at the Driskill. We were even able to check our large bags with the hotel, since we changed for dinner in the hotel itself, despite not staying there overnight and just eating at the Grill. Everyone treated us so kindly.

We live in Austin, but decided to stay downtown to attend a 1920s-era ball for charity. Naturally, the Driskill was the go-to place to add to our experience, and wow it totally delivered.

We stayed in the Heritage Landmark suite for one night. It was a good sized room, well adorned in antiquity, and tidy. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a trip back in time.

The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful, and the large cafe served up a solid breakfast in the morning once we staggered our way there.

It definitely is one of the best hotel experiences I've had in the US, and even though we live in Austin we find ourselves occasionally looking for a reason to stay.

Loved our stay at The Driskill! The history of the hotel is super interesting. Our room was very beautiful. The bed, sheets, and pillow were all very comfortable. The location was fabulous! We walked right out our door and saw a lot of the city. We rented bikes and that was so fun! I wish we could have stayed longer.

After living in Austin for about 10 years, it's been a long time dream of mine to stay the night at the Driskill. When I finally was able to make it happen, it certainly did not disappoint! I just wish I had stayed here sooner. Rooms were a little bit on the smaller side, but it is a Historic Hotel so is to be expected. Guest Services were wonderful and brought me a bucket full of local ciders and beer as well as some helpful tips for Austin City Limits Festival. Certainly one of the better guest experiences I've had. I hope I get another chance to stay here.

Rooms are pretty basic. While the hotel is beautiful, being a guest feels like staying at any other flag property. No charm and nothing special. Nothing is wrong with it though.

Really nice hotel! The rooms are really well done and ornate and comfortable. Everything feels new and recently redone, especially the bathrooms. Location is right in the middle of downtown, unbeatable in terms of access. Despite being right on 6th St, it is quiet at night and security makes sure no ruffians spill in. Service is also great, super friendly and really helpful in finding us places to eat. Overnight valet is pretty pricey at $40 though, but the rooms are a great value in terms of location, comfort, and finish.

Room is petite but very nice. No complaint about the service. Had a great time at the bar on the first floor. Would gladly do it again

The Driskill is a stunning hotel. Walking in I was blown away by it's beauty. This feeling continued as I walked into the bar. The western decor firmly reminded me that I was in the heart of Texas. I recommend it fully!

I've stayed here multiple times, and it has been a good experience. It's a charming, unique hotel and a historic building. The staff are very helpful and accomodating. It's conveniently located in downtown, and only a short walk to the convention center. My only complaint is petty: there's an air freshener or something right by the entrance that blasts an overly strong scent. But otherwise, the rooms are nice and clean, and I will happily stay here again given the chance.
