We went in the winter over Wurst Fest. Was horribly disappointed! The rooms are old and you can hear everything your neighbor is doing. We had obnoxious neighbors who got drunk and into a fist fight at 2am. They made their way crashing through the bedroom window into our suite. We told the office about what happened and their response was a bag of free towels. The entire stay was just bad, started with a woman checking us in who could not tell me the proper way to get to our room (it took us 30 minutes of driving around before they told us oh you have to park and walk up a hill to get there) I asked about breakfast and was told flat out that she did not know anything about the grounds or the hotels accommodations. We were planning on coming up in the summer to take our family but I will never stay at this place again! The only upside I can see is having the park literally outside your back yard! You walk outside and the lazy river is right there. The cabins are spacious and sleep a lot of people which is nice, however the lack of doors that can lock is a security issue for me.

This was the kick off to our summer vacation! The atmosphere is great. Lost of rides at this big park. My boys had a great time. We were able to get cabanas and bring in our own food. Which is good because everything is overpriced and that is to be expected from a water park. My husband lost his keys in the lazy river and they had a pretty good system in place for lost items. At the end of the night when they drained the river they called us with his keys. There were a lot of teenagers working there but you can tell they were well trained in customer service! They were very friendly. We will be returning!

I never leave reviews, but the ones stating the rooms are outdated are correct. However, they are very clean. I was a little nervous when I first arrived, but once inside the room they were not that bad. The reason I gave them three stars is because the walls are paper thin and you can hear EVERY THING around you. The cleaning people start super early (6-7am) and were very loud. Also I believe the people staying next to us were loud as well. I was awakened by the wall against the headboard being shaken due to slamming doors. We were supposed to wear wrist bands our entire stay, but I had a wedding to go to and did not want to wear the wristband at the wedding. When I asked the hotel staff if there was a way I could take it off and put it back on when we came back they were very unhelpful and just stated "no, you have to wear it the entire time". Anyways, The main thing that was aggravating was the noise.

I booked my stay through booking.com. When we arrived, our room was not available due to a mix up. However, we were able to stay until our room was available the following day, an we also received a $40 discount. The staff was very friendly an helpful with accommodating my family of 6. If ever in need, just ask for Danny. I was skeptical at first, but he insured that we'd have a pleasant stay. An that, we did. He even came an checked on us, to insure that we had everything we needed. The park wasn't opened, but it was okay. There's plenty of things to do an places to go, in the surrounding areas. We will be back soon! Hopefully Danny will be here to assist us again.

Loved it. We where the only ones there but we enjoyed our time. Rooms a little bit pricey considering park closed. I believe they should consider having some type of off-season activities no matter if it's slow or not

My children really enjoyed schlitterbauhn this year and so did I. My children's ages are 10, 13, 16 and 18. We had gone in years past where we had little ones and a teen and I do not remember enjoying it as much. There were some newer rides like the Falls which was awesome. Overall experience was excellent

We visited this location near San Antonio about three weeks ago. It was a group of adults only, it was the first time we had ever visited and we had a great time here. We rented a cabana, which was the BEST idea we had because it was so freaking "Texas hot" and the cabana was shaded the entire (and we were there 8 hours). There was a ceiling fan and we were next to the water slide so there was a little bit of mist flowing. We had a flat screen TV, small refrigerator for our drinks and snacks, lots of seating and we had a waitress that came by and checked on us periodically, also there was a safe for you to lock away your belongings which freed you up to go explore and have fun. The 16oz Margaritas we ordered were very tasty, strong enough for a nice buzz and very cold; which was much appreciated on such a hot day. Bring your own water because when we asked our waitress for some she said they don't sell it, which we thought was very odd. The park is large so that will be a lot of walking, but there are so many water activities to keep you cool throughout the day. We will DEFINITELY go back!

This waterpark(s) was awesome! The staff was friendly and helpful. I see some negative reviews about a few things like it not being clean or the waves not being big.simply not true. The park is actually surprisingly clean and the wave pool throws put some of the biggest waves I've ever seen! There's plenty of stuff to do for all ages. I do recommend if you bring a cooler, you bring a small one because at the original park side there's stairs you have to go up and down. I also recommend arriving early, we arrived 15 minutes after they opened and there were literally swarms of people already at the gate. Even with all the people it still didn't seem that crowded but if you want a picnic table or a good spot to sit, get there early. Overall we(myself, my mother and two children aged 3 & 9) had a blast and can't wait to go back!

We spent a whole day here and we only managed to visit the West side as there was so much to do and we still didn't finish everything! It was our first time here and we went on a Monday so we kind of just running all around the place trying to figure out what we wanted to do. The lines weren't very long and the rides were very fun and looked well maintained. The various lifeguards look very engaged and are always looking at the water and not being distracted or chatting with co-workers like some other places. The food here was surprisingly good for an amusement park. We tried the pizza, bbq sandwich (both pulled pork and brisket), and roasted corn. The food actually had flavor and didn't taste like frozen food. My only complaint but not worth taking a star off as was that the cups from the gift shop are pretty cheap quality. We had one cup that cracked from hot coffee and another cup that had a cheap looking mass produced paint job on it. I wish they had better quality souvenir cups but that is my only complaint. We plan on visiting again and seeing what the other park has to offer and from the map it looks like we have another whole day of fun coming up!

Fun for the family or just a getaway with no kid's is great also!! Lot's of cool stuff to do. Shuttle to other part of resort. Like that you can bring in your own coolers with drinks and food. I definitely recommend bringing extra snacks and drinks for the kids.
They really don't have a large variety of options to eat and it can get pricey ,but the burgers are actually pretty good.

This place was awesome we'll maintained and friendly. Super fun and well worth it. However.. attention to food service was slow. They seemed understaffed with very little sense of urgency, maybe being understaffed isn't motivating for the employees. WE WILL BE BACK!! WELL WORTH IT.

Great place to stay, was great to be able to go back to the room to eat and rest and go back out. Rooms are older but well maintained. Did have a musty smell but a little air freshener fixes that. I mean we are at a water park on a river. A/C worked great, beds were comfortable. Our room was a tad small but for the times we were actually in there we made it work. Will upgrade to the next size up when we go next time, well worth the price.
