I have been going to Dawes since I was a kid. It is a beautiful park for walks or driving. Some of my favorite spots are the Japanese Garden, Dawes Lake and of course the tower that overlooks the hedges that spell out Dawes Arboretum.

It was I'm sorry, very disappointing. Very few tree varieties to choose from, and no handicapped parking. Had to park WAY over the hill, and hobble my way to the event. Shuttles were limited to nill. A lot of visitors were walking though the grass to save steps. They could have at least mowed a path. Wishing them a better show next year.

Beautiful Free Park! Great for exercise or just peaceful Reflection. Tons of paths to walk or you can drive to different areas.

Great place to see all kinds of plants. Has a japenese garden that is excellent. Take the house tour. Costs 2 dollars but worth it.

Have been to Sawed Arboretum twice, both times in the summer. The plants are pretty, andd there is a large variety of trees. Visitors can take a self guided driving or walking tour. There are picnic tables and plenty of shaded areas to enjoy.

Been going here since I was a kid. Great for school field trips and prom/wedding pictures as well. Have a great nature/learning center for kids. Love going on the auto tour, and walking my dog around too. Such a little gem! They have a nice little gift shop. The also have fun things like a Halloween pet parade, and a food truck day. Good for photographers, if you like to take nature pictures.

Come here because of the trees, nature trails, and history. Miles of places to explore and a come and go approach. Open to the public for free.

Lots of different trees. They could be marked slightly better, sometimes you have to look for a tiny tag on some branch and sometimes there is no sign at all. Only a few have clear big signs telling which tree it is.

Came here in a whim with the family and was pleasantly surprised. This place is amazing! This is a beautiful park with so much to explore along the trails. I only spent a couple hours here with my family but we were already discussing our next trip before we even left!

Dawes is a beautiful relaxing place to spend the day. 45 min doesn't quite do it for me. When I set out for the day, I'm looking to relax and leave my stress on the trails. Yes the Japanese garden is beautiful and relaxing, but don't let that keep you from heading up to the overlook above the canopy. This overlooks a beautiful pond and the words "Dawes Arboretum" spelled out across the field of many beautiful trees and shrubs. Then you can trek on over to the pond where you can cross a short bridge to a little island towards the middle of the pond. A great place to sit for a moment relax and take in everything mother nature has to offer. There are plenty of picnic tables, benches, and comfy little nooks to relax or read a book in the fresh air. This is great for your physical and mental health. Enjoy!!

Great opportunity to enjoy conservation at the ground level. Careful attention given to habitat restoration. Educational activities available for all ages. Recreational​ opportunities for hiking, fishing and photography.
