Even though I feel as though the Club is going through a transition, it is still the largest, best facility in the tri-state area. What other facilities boast having tennis courts and a whole huge field with artificial turf on the other side? In the winter there are MANY soccer, football, and baseball leagues that come in to use the artificial turf. There are so many yoga/spinning classes that are offered in addition to a newly renovated spa and a full-service hair/nail salon. The outdoor pool is wonderful to use in the summer and the members that are here have been here for years because they are loyal to the Club. The basketball court is very nice and it also houses things such as pickleball and badminton. People can cut this facility down as much as they want but no one will find another place that offers all that it does in ONE location. And why would anyone want to run a huge place like this out of business with so many negative reviews? Monroeville needs to keep all the businesses it can and it doesn't help when people are so hypercritical of everything! Sure, there are other gyms in the area but none are as large and as nice as this one. Not only that, you have to stand in lines to use their equipment - even a treadmill! At the Club, you never have to wait in lines and it's never packed to the brim like other places. I certainly wouldn't want to feel claustrophobic while working out Bottom line: the fees are very appropriate considering the size of the facility and what it has to offer. Don't take all the negative reviews to heart.

Still a nice place to swim or work out. But they're now cutting the pool hours even further. It now closes 2.5 hours earlier than when I first joined, but the fees are still the same.

I recently quit this gym because it is not worth $100/month anymore (couple membership). They took out the racquetball courts and child care, yet they want members to pay the same price. The owners are not investing any money in the place and there are rumors of the it going out of business. Many machines are left broken for months. People have left in droves as newer gyms have opened up providing better service at a much cheaper rate. It is very hard to quit once you join because the membership office is only open certain hours and only in the day time. They do not return phone calls. The employees that check you in cannot do anything with memberships. Had to call the bank to stop payment. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Why oh why did you (the club) take out the racquetball courts! I loved coming to this place everyday to play some racquetball. but now I can't! Please acknowledge this! You could have left at least one out of the five or six coarts! But they were all taken out. If they brought one or two courts back, I would give them a 4 star ratting:/

I rented the unused, "always available gym" - should have been the first red flag- for a boxing event a few months ago. They charged me over 2 times the regular rental rate as a "deposit", never provided an actual contract, telling me that we would "work it out". They seemed very willing to work and clearly needed the money so I figured I'd take them at their word. My mistake, obviously.

Now they won't answer a call or text and have decided that it's better business to beat me for 1200$ then to have a potential repeat rental.
    Talk about burning a bridge.

Don't make the same mistakes I did, they are clearly dying on the vine and will walk away with any money they can get. Ive met more honest junkies.

This used to be a really nice place with a younger, upbeat social crowd. It's gotten pretty run down over the years and the average age on the fitness floor on a typical day is around 65-70 years old. Great place for older people looking for a gym, but a younger person looking for high energy and fun environment will be disappointed.
