This place is an interesting adventure! Prepare for some tight hallways and lots of stairs but if you can handle that, this maze-like building can provide you with hours of fun exploration. Books, books, so many books!
Right next to two coffee shops and they offer fantastic prices. Add in a novel layout for a bookstore, friendly staff, and a great selection. This is a monthly date for my wife and me.
The most interesting and unique local bookstore I've ever been in! There is so much to look at, you can easily spend an hour wondering around. The staff is very friendly and helpful!
One of my favorite bookstores. I go there whenever I'm in town. Good selection of new and discounted books. Great place to browse
Absolutely one of my favorite places on Earth. I could spend hours in here just lost among the books; it's truly a magical place. It's totally overwhelming, but once you get oriented, you realize that it actually is ingeniously set up. Also, the little patio and courtyard are so cute. I'd love to just sit there and read all day.
I can't say enough good things about this place. It's MASSIVE! Every time I have friends or family come visit, and they hear I'm taking them to a book store they always seem disappointed at first. and then they see the book loft. After about half way through I get asked "there's more??" It's awesome having a cool local spot to show off. Also, pretty much every book there is cheaper than Barnes and Noble, they have pretty much every book you could want, and their literature shirts have always been a big hit when I wear them to work.
If you haven't been, you owe it to yourself to go. It really is a hidden gem in Columbus!
The book loft is great. One of the most unique and interesting bookstores I've ever been in with so many themed rooms of books. You can find any book there it seems, though it will take a little while with its maze-like quality. Leave plenty of time to spend here!
The Book Loft is an amazing place to go! 32 rooms full of books in a house! It is so awesome and unique. It's quite frankly the best bookstore to visit because it is unlike anything I have ever seen. I love this place and highly recommend visiting it and walk through every room!
This German Village staple is a must see. It feels like a casino because once you get in there, it's tough to get out. There are so many cool little rooms with their own character. It's an awesome spot to take people from out of town. You can easily lose track of time in this place and spend a few hours walking through finding cool books and cd's from all over the world.
If you're a book lover, this is the place to go. It's a maze of books. Quite cramped with thousands of books in a small space (small 32 rooms) but still well organized.
You can find almost all genres of books - fiction, non-fiction, cook books, biographies, travel and a lot more. And all of these are sold at highly discounted price.
There's a cafe right outside this place if you want to relax for a while.
However, parking is a problem here as you only get 2 hours parking in the lanes of German Village. Unless you shell out big bucks in the validated parking lots, you would need to juggle around your car.
Definitely worth a visit if you're in the German Village area.
If you like bookstores this is heaven. If you can't find it here you probably don't need it. You just have to come here. You can very easily loose track of time with all the great titles in here. Best bookstore in Columbus. Truly something for everyone.
This is the most unique bookstore I've ever been to! They have an incredible selection that ranges over ever genre and their prices are very reasonable. This truly is a one of a kind enjoyable experience. I myself have driven up to two hours just to showcase this bookstore to friends and family.
Absolutely wonderful! I can't possibly overstate the wonderful diversity of the selection in the store! I had to ask a male staff member for help nearly half a dozen times but his attitude remained pleasant and extraordinarily helpful for the duration. I ended up buying several times more than what I went in to purchase, because I was provided with such a wonderful array of options. The Loft was clean, organized and even better than advertised! I would make the three hour drive back to Columbus for the sole purpose of visiting here again!
