We saw Star Wars : The Last Jedi tonight and we loved the movie.NOT the theater.
The first sign of trouble was walking up to the ticket booth. The floor was slippery but not because it had just been mopped. Some slimy, waxy, and dangerous film all over the tile. After paying for our tickets, we walked in and noticed a cheap floor mat (the kind you get from Wal-Mart for $6.88) where normally a long commercial mat would be.
We made our way past the ticket attendant who directed us to theater #2. We couldn't help but notice broken office chairs in the hallway and a sign made out of poster board and glitter!!
The picture and sound of the movie was decent. Theater wasn't properly cleaned but employee quickly swept area when I mentioned it.
So yes, basically it is a run down Movie Tavern owned now by an Indian couple. Unless things improve immediately, I don't see it staying open beyond spring/summer 2018.
we had a team outing with group of 20 people, we really had a fun from 3pm - 9pm, bartender and theater manager is polite and took care all of us.. and the food was so yummy.. one of our favorite dish was southwest egg rolls
Great place for families, great for a night out with friends. Decent prices and the movie theater seating is quite good. Much better than others around the Columbus area!
The only movie theater I go to. Always clean and Friendly staff. And they have a BAR too. I love this place. This is a nice place where the entire family can enjoy a movie together. Thank you Movies11
This was maybe the weirdest movie theater we’ve ever been to. There were a ton of people working but nobody taking tickets, so we just kind of wandered since nothing is labeled. The bad picture of the glowing sign is just an empty plate with no name above the doors to the theater. Everything was also so dimly lit that I couldn’t take pictures of things, like the horror movie hallways or the office chairs instead of theater chairs. (The office chairs were just WEIRD.) The screen that the movie played on was really dirty, so if it was a light or white scene you could really see like dirt streaks on the screen.
As the movie was ending, someone came in and turned on some super bright floodlights, nearly blinding us. I made everyone strip down when we got home and threw our clothes in the washer because I was just feeling super paranoid about bugs after this and I’m honestly not that paranoid about those kinds of things. Not feeling this place at all.
The best movie theater in Columbus! Movies 11. The dine in seating is wonderful, with good taste of food . Staff was very friendly and loved their food. If you want the best theater experience, than look no further!
The staff was friendly and helpful. It's a very large theater and I like the ease of being able to order food while you're sitting down, nice seating, good quality movie, wide variety of food options for dine in seating. Love you movies 11!
I love taking my son here (Movie Tavern) on Saturday mornings for a movie and breakfast. Just wish the food prices were as reasonable as the ticket prices. The staff should ask if the customers need any condiments with their food. The table switches for service needs to be fixed on a lot of the table shelves. A lot of the chairs need to be replaced or repaired. Could always be cleaner in the theaters.
**Update 9/23/2017: WOW, everything is gone from all the Marquee's, inside & out except for a single paper sign that reads Movies 11 Now Open! Um, I just drove right on past. If it is open, I wouldn't even waste my money on an empty looking building that has no movie signs, prices, times or anything up.
Recently saw IT with my boyfriend, very good movie but this place still needs A LOT of work! Pretty much nothing has changed
Menu is even worse since there's no variety & the theatre still smells terrible. We don't plan on returning until these issues get resolved.
The place is very understaffed which understandably results in poorer service. I think the waiters do the best they can under the circumstances though. I'd be more apt to blame the management than anyone else for the lack of staffing. It seriously needs more of a janitorial staff as well because it always seems messy. A dine-in theater is a great concept but this one didn't enhance your movie experience, it seemed to take away from it.
My husband, child and myself love the Movie Tavern. We go there for the nostalgia and the fact you can get a meal, family time in all before 11 am. The service is the worst don't get me wrong, the food has gone down hill in the worst way, but what can you do? I ordered scrambled eggs once and made a mistake of trying to eat in the dark. Haha Will miss the Movie Tavern. If they just kept caring then they never would had went out of business.

I love the Movie Tavern. My son and I try and go every weekend for there breakfast & a movie. The service is good, food is good, and the price is fair for a theater. The Movie Tavern is the best thing to happen to movie theaters.
The dinner and a movie novelty is cool, but the food isn't great. The seating is hit and miss. Some of the seats are high-back desk chair type deals that roll. A couple rows sit at a decline and your chair will want to roll forward the whole time. Kind of annoying. I grew up going to this theater before it changed to the movie tavern, so I still enjoy the occasional visit.
