Have to say the service was great. The starter of mussels were very good, but unfortunately our entries were lacking favor.
Had the hanger steak, it was cook well but had to add salt and pepper to enjoy it. The sides of sweet potatoes and arugula salad were just as bland and flavorless. I would probably choose another restaurant over this most the time. But the service and ambience will keep me from writing it off completely

The Beehive is a hip, fun place to enjoy good live music over dinner. The cocktail menu has a good selection and there is an extensive wine and beer list. The food is tasty with mostly generous portions but is certainly not the highlight of the establishment. Come for the drinks, atmosphere and live music.

Perhaps one of the best weekend brunch spots in Boston. They offer a wide variety of food, but it is the atmosphere that sets the place apart. Head downstairs and bear a little to the right; you will find a set of tables and a stage with musicians playing jazz. That atmosphere is hard to.find in other places.

Went for the thanksgiving lunch. The place was a lot less “nice” than we had expected - the tables were small and I sat so close to another party that our arms kept touching while eating our meals and we could have easily listened to each other’s conversations.

The food was alright but not special or amazing. The squash soup was very good, but the main meal (typical tgiving dinner meal) or the vegetarian version were underwhelming. The proportions of meat to vegetables were uneven and not enough sauce to make the somewhat dry turkey less dry. It didn’t taste bad or anything, it was just less than what I expected. The dessert was drenched in heavy cream (mixed berry pastry) but tasted well.

The service, however, was excellent. Very friendly waitress and paid attention to our needs.

The BEST jazz brunch on the east coast. This place is awesome.

Brunch is brilliant and breakfast cocktails are great, dinner is also awesome, the music is always good and the prices are reasonable. It's got such an awesome atmosphere as well, it's always a good experience.

This is one of the best places in Boston, for a date, for drinks with friends, to bring a client - anything

Ambient, service and life music are great there. Beef steak slices was good, but three kind of deserts not worth to order probably. Maybe bread pudding was OK, but chocolate tort and cheesecake were a big mistake.

I would have loved to give the Beehive 5 stars because the food was amazing! And the live show was wonderful too!, but there was a server there (not ours) that was very rude and disrespectful. The tone that she spoke to me in was uncalled for. I just don't understand how it is acceptable for a server to be anything but nice to a customer.

Loved the environment and the vibe with a beautiful background jazz. I go there often. Also they've added a new painting on their wall just on the left side of the stairs. I know the painters and they're wonderful.

What a cool, old building with plenty of history! Jazz has been a part of their story from the beginning, and having live jazz at brunch was a pretty unique experience. The food was incredible, and our server was friendly and engaging.

Food was amazing, cocktails paired well with entrees. The duck was out of this world and the calamari was amazing. Our server was so knowledgeable, and helpful. He had a great personality and made sure my friend and I were well taken care of. Ask for Dominic as your waiter. He's perhaps the best in house 👌👍 definitely one of the best places for 5 star food and cocktails in Boston.

I came here because of the reviews on Google! Overall a very delicious brunch and excellent service. We ordered the crispy calamari (excellent), the Johnny cake with sofrito pork with poached egg and avocado (a must try for it's too good to pass up) and the ceviche (my least favourite plate l. I found the dish was lacking flavour. It could have maybe has some diced tomatoes and shallots for a fuller experience).

This place is a popular, iconic, touristy restaurant for New American food. Very hip and trendy and the best part is the daily live music and jazz. You are better off making a reservation on weekends, because you most likely will be in for a long wait if you don't. Try to request for a table near the jazz music stage, as you can really get the feels and vibes of the restaurant. The food is a bit overrated, wouldn't come here specifically for the food, I had the Shashuka and Poutine, was average, possibly because it was so packed that day everything was cold. But nevertheless, the atmosphere is great.

What an amazing place. The atmosphere alone was amazing but the service, food and Jazz were top notch too. Walking thought the doors your greeted with smiles by the hosts, they are welcoming and accommodating and really pleasant. Walking down stairs you are taken back by the extensive brick and steel work in the building and its a time warp to another era. If you're lucky enough to sit right by the stage, you're in for a treat. The music is loud but not terribly so. Everywhere I go that serves skirt steak, I always order it. This place is the best I have ever had in all my travels. Its cooked perfectly (Medium rare) and the flavors are out of this world. The salad it comes with is a nice compliment however the chips I think are a bit much. If you like Jazz and want that feeling almost like a speakeasy, this is the place to check out.

Had an Amazing dining experience here. The food was great as well as the performances by the band and singers. I don't drink alcohol so I think they should add the non alcoholic beverages to the menu along with everything else. Not a complaint just an observation. Cynthia the waitress was Awesome!!! KUDOS TO HER! If you like wine this place has a very extensive selection to chose from.

I always enjoy coming here for the music and ambience. Even though the food and drinks are expensive, I consider the prices to include the musician's compensation, so it's actually reasonable. The quality of the food is also consistently good and portions are very generous. I even brought my parents, who rarely enjoy loud venues, and they had a good time. I recommend checking the music schedule and looking up the artists ahead of time to see if you'd enjoy the performance. Highly recommend dropping by if you're in the South End.
