If your established with a doctor makes no difference. When you are sick they cannot get you in for 2 weeks. Then they suggest the walk in clinic at your clinic. So you walk in to be told nope.cant see you today. Make a walk in appt. By that time you've been sick for days. So you must go to the ER at midnight because you seriously can't wait for the "walk-in" appt a day later. Seriously. This is not good for the patient or the financial side of health care.

The care is better here than the for profit hospitals. The onsite rehab means continuity of care! Many use the E.R as a clinic meaning long waits & over worked staff

It is touch and go with the staff here at JPS. Some don't want to listen to your concerns while others are very compassionate. I have walked out of there very happy about the service and I have walked out there feeling like a Nurse Practitioner didnt give a damn.

This is the absolute bottom of the barrel.I was in prison for 10 years and I was never handled like this. I now have 5 1/2 hours wait time to get my temp and blood pressure taken 3hours last time and I got fed up and left there were only 3 of us now new day with appt 2 hours 45in temp and blood pressure. Why make an appointment??? If u have a choice of coming here or dying .funeral home is gonna b faster than jps.

A public hospital, the staff are more caring than for profit Hospitals. Many use the E.R. as a clinic. Making for longer wait time & over worked staff. In 2012 they saved my husband's life!

VERY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND WAIT TIME.

The wait times are horrendous and it seems the employees know nothing about their jobs or any sort of urgency. You have to wait +6 hours to get into any room, if at all.

My mother had surgery recently and they sent her home the same day, just HOURS after. She was still under heavy sedation and it was like they ripped the breathing tube out of her throat.

They didn't give her any good pain pills either. Just the bare minimum. It doesn't last but an hour and a half, two hours tops.

It's obvious this hospital and it's staff don't care about patients. THEY JUST LET BUMS OFF THE STREETS SIT IN THE LOBBY.

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL IF YOU WANT A PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY SERVICE.

Your absolute last resort. Been sick with a debilitating, undiagnosed GI problem for over two months and have received effectively no treatment. Sat for 13 hours in waiting rooms at the ER because my condition wasn't deemed serious enough for bed assignment. ER tests were all negative, and I've been stuck in specialty clinic wait time bureaucracy hell ever since. After my symptoms worsened, I have literally not been able to get in contact with a GI nurse or anyone alleging to take care of me, and making a new appointment would likely take another month to materialize, so my worsening symptoms (which are not being looked into) are simply off the radar and look like they are going to stay that way for some time unless I submit myself to ER torment again. Life is agonizing and nobody at this hospital can do anything to help.

Also, don't go here if you're having blood content in your urine, because they literally won't look into it for half a year. Showed up in the ER on Sep 19th, couldn't get into urology until November 29th, waited 2 hours to talk to someone for 5 minutes, then was scheduled on March 29th for a cystoscopy, AKA 6.5 months after "blood" happened. Third world wait times.

Very impressed with the new ER; what a difference! The trauma bays are fantastic. The staff from ER supervising doctor, surgeon, various techs, nurses and attendants are wonderfully thorough, patient and courteous. Even the security guard though firm and professional was pleasant. The waiting room didn't even look like it was in an emergency room. It has the look of a well appointed business lobby.

Great Hospital. Hospital System on the other hand forces its clients to get health insurance or no services unless you are homeless. My mother has to wait till next year to get her surgery and it is getting worse for her daily. Besides JPS why do you force people to get health insurance to keep getting your services.
