Nursing and medical staff were fantastic. I gained quite the appreciation for how hard their jobs are. VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE.
Worst experience ever with the medical attention she received here. Only best thing was Timothy, ER nurse who treated her like she mattered. Unlike ER doctor who just let my daughter throw up on herself knowing she had a bad seizure and sedated unable to hold herself up and walked right on out while my daughter continued throwing up on herself and me while I held her. Had her mind made up before even talking to family that my daughter was a junkie. When she should have seen she has a chronic dz.
ER nurse Jim is AMAZING. Took care of my mother-in-law with such compassion and kindness. Everyone was great here
My wife was charged a copay for an MRI in error. She has tried on numerous times to get a refund for the erroneous charge. It was Medicare that made the error known. She has contacted the hospital billing office as well as the central billing office in Dallas. She keeps getting the "You should be getting a check shortly." This has been going on for months. The amount is $34! How long would they make you wait for a significan sum???!
My dog clipped my daughter’s lip while playing and it required stitches. We were afraid that she’d have have plastic surgery later. But the ER doctor carefully aligned the lip and put in three stitches. It healed perfectly. You cant even see a scar.
Dad taken from Kirkwood Manor to Christus ER. Staff were extremely kind and helpful. Dad was admitted and again staff exemplary. One of the cleanest hospitals I've ever seen. Well done and Thank You.
Overall, not a place I would recommend or go to again if I have a choice. Twice now I have gotten MRSA from this facility and every single time I have had surgery there, the billing department begins harassing me over charges that were either double billed, services never received or coding errors that they refuse to correct. They have been sued successfully numerous times for double billing and violations of the Medicare act. Demand that your insurance company send you to some other facility!
I was recently seen here, the nurse was an absolutely sweetheart and made me feel comfortable right away (wish I got her name she's the reason I will rate this place a three and not a 1) reason being doctor Tatum seemed to unconcerned with my "problem", as well as un compassionate and very assertive. Whether his personality or not he made me feel very uncomfortable as soon as he came in. You should never treat a patient like there unimportant regardless to whether you think it's a dire emergency or not, definitely how I felt.
Wow, does anybody in the ER know how to be kind or show Christ's compassion. It does not take any additional time to be kind. I pray they find a way to care in the way that the profession was created to care! At least attention to the pain.. the urine sample is still sitting at our side for the past hour accurate results I think not!
The nursing staff up in ICU, & IMC, are awesome. Especially the patient care advocates. When we had problems getting a prescription filled, the whole staff worked to no avail, until David U. Was able to make a 2 day fight,. An hour process. Thanks to him, we were able to get the prescription, and he even met me so We could have it!!
I have never,. Seen thus much compassion and care for the patient. Thank you all so much for the over outstanding care!!
I will never go here again. It started in the emergency room with the receptionist not taking peoples concerns seriously. I was having abdominal pains and she made me complete paperwork standing at her desk and then sent me off to find labor and delivery by myself unescorted. While waiting for my paperwork an elderly man came in with an apparent wound to his face. He was dripping tons of blood on the floor, was covered in blood from head to toe and she told him to take a seat someone will be right with you.. seriously. He even said but I'm dripping blood everywhere and she just wanted to argue with him. She even was nasty when another patient informed her of the amount of blood on the floor. Moving on up to labor and delivery. The doctor Dr. Briggs never showed up and just treated me through the phone. I asked for a note for light duty at work since I had some trauma to my stomach and was told by the nurse that she couldn't write a note and that I needed a physician. I was hit in my stomach and told that it was natural pregnancy pains that I was havingFirst time here, this was the worst experience I've had in healthcare all my life. Was told to try Resolute Hospital next time. Hopefully they are better or I'll plan on delivering my child in another city.
They are fast at getting to you and getting you out of there but look out because when the bills arrive they are astronomical! My sons visit was less than 15 mins saw doctor for maybe 5 min. Cost $1576.00 OUTRAGEOUS! Waiting on detailed bill which they don't send you unless you ask for it. The doctor bill was billed from a Las Vegas billing service. What happened to buying and spending locally! They wonder why we don't have insurance! The insurance pays more which then comes out of our pockets anyways!
I found the hospital staff to be very thorough and caring in my 87 year old mother's care.
The third floor nurses: Dora, Jessica, Margaret, Jana, Marie were wonderful.
Dr Rodriguez was very helpful and explained everything about my mother's condition with patience allowing me to ask dozen questions.
They were exceptional.
The ER was amazing. They saw my wife who was having abdominal pain. We were put in a room after about 45 minutes. The nurse saw us quickly and the doctor soon after. We saw Doctor Massey. He was very very nice and very helpful. He explained everything clearly and concisely. He was not rude at all. The nurses were very nice to my wife as well. They connected very nicely and even struck up conversation while they were doing their work. The lady doing laundry gave my wife a fresh hot blanket straight out of the dryer when she could have given her a cold one. The nurse didn't jab at my wife's tiny veins like other nurses have done before but actually took her time to find a good one. Even the desk staff was very kind and helpful. Keep in mind this was all on a very busy night. We were there for several hours but the staff was really working hard to take care of everyone.
