Sushi is Amazing but Ramen soup is BEST in the World!!!!!!! You don't need to go to Japan for Sushi or Ramen, Mr. Taka who is owner chef, he can serve you whatever you need it!!

Tasty Japanese food even for those who don't like sushi or sashimi. Everyone loved their rolls and I enjoyed a range of tasty vegetarian appetizers.

Besides being in a retail shop area, this places is great. The staff was prompt to help and the food was amazing. I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts appetizer and the Copacabana Rolls.

Was not impressed with the food which is fairly pricey, wine is 2.5-3x store price, fish had a little too much "fishy" taste when it shouldn't have. Atmosphere is family oriented so not a great date place

I had to update my review of this place. I had originally given it 3 stars, but that was 4 years ago and I found their food a little lacking. I went back yesterday and had a much better experience. The food was top notch this time. I ordered an assortment of nigiri sushi (Otoro, Madai, Uni, Amaebi, and Hamachi), Tonkotsu Ramen, Katsudon, and Gyudon. The only minor disappointments were the Ramen and Otoro. Ramen was a little bland and you can get much better at Jinya just a few miles down the road on the same street. Otoro didn't have that silky and buttery texture and flavor that I've only found in maybe 2 places (Tomo and the One Sushi+) other than my visits to Tokyo. Prices are slightly high here, but not as bad as places like Umi and Tomo. i spent 80 bucks for lunch, but that's not terrible considering what I ordered.

Consistent neighborhood sushi restaurant. I wouldn't travel out of my way to go here but if it's near you it's worth it as it's a better option considering other nearby Japanese restaurants. They're usually packed but the wait goes fast. Tables along the booth are quite close so don't expect to have an intimate conversation. The service is good, but sometimes slow. Menu is diverse that even a non-sushi lover can find tapas like options (yakitori, cooked dishes, katsu, noodles, etc.). Sushi quality is consistent enough that it's a go-to option. It's not phenomenal where you'll think you're in heaven with each bite, but definitely above average. Prices are a little above average but that's because of the location. North Buckhead/South Sandy Springs. There's a special Japanese menu but you have to be able to read it.

the best authentic Japanese food and something for the "Americans" too! Taka is the only place we go to for sushi and sashimi in Atlanta. Try Taka for lunch, great bargain and wonderful unique salads to choose from. Highly recommend this little gem, now located in the Gateway plaza at
Roswell Road and Windsor Parkway in Sandy Springs.response / report this review
