  Went for lunch with a friend one day and was pretty disappointed. My food was bland, dry, and disappointing.
  
  Normally I wouldn’t be so critical of food after just one go, but in Eastie there is so many other others to choose from.
  
  Price was fair, and the service was also good.

  Taco Mex is a hole in the wall restaurant in East Boston's Maverick Square. While it boasts little from the outside, the food is a sweet surprise that doesn't hurt the wallet. While you find a litany of Latino options right around here, Taco Mex stands out to me for it's diverse menu and it's familiar choices. I'll get burritos here often, and I'll often get steak plates, too. It's fast and everyone here is always pleasant. The food is good, and I've never been disappointed.

  Small family owned homestyle cooking. Very clean and small place. The 4 of us enjoyed our food. Maybe their menu is too large which may hurt presentation and even the quality. I think more focus on a smaller menu would move this to a 5 star.

  The food was great & had plenty of great options to choose from I had went on a Saturday night which wasn't too busy nice little cozy restaurant & great selection of drinks as well. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating was because of the servers, they looked like there weren't happy & I almost felt like they didn't feel like being there . I wish they would smile or at least be more courteous. But overall great food

  Great little place for a nice big breakfast. I love coming here w coworkers. Customer service is prime, as are the prices.
  Though the name on here doesn't say it, note that this is a patio restaurant.

  Stumbled into this one without any pre-knowledge and were so happy with the results! Fresh ingredients, a caring staff and a quick service made this a memorable meal for sure. We got the Chicken Nachos and a Taco sampler and both were full of flavor. The freshly used vegetables mixed with perfectly cooked chicken and beef created a very satisfying Mexican Food lunch. The prices were a little high for no offering of chips or anything else, but other than that, we had an excellent meal and we will definitely go back when we're in town again.

  The best Mexican restaurant, real and great food . Is too good for the price. Ahhh the drinks perfect.!!!!
