Grate variety if subs have no problem with extras consistently good and a real polite bunch of guys and girls try the truck 23 fries for a real treat!
While visiting from out of town met some family for Cheese steaks and they were great. Owner was a very nice guy who was very attentive to making sure the food was delicious
My cheesesteak review.
-Anyone who gives this more than 1 star must eat canned food as a staple. This is no where near a Philly Cheesesteak or even a mock up at your buds house. Please go see a Doctor. Now to the critical review.
Cons:
1)Meat has many issues, lack flavor, texture is OK, a little too greasy. Freezer bought Steak Ums beat their flavor- and that's pretty bad too
2)The roll- absolutely gets an F rating. to airy, grainy, dry and no substance in weight or flavor. This must is a cost saving short cut using these sub par supermarket-type rolls.
3) The meat rests on the cold cheese which melts slightly. A well made cheesesteak will have the meat and cheese fuzed in some fashion. The meat and cheese are separated and stay that way.
The Pros: ( I had their food truck version)
1) Very fast service, very friendly service. Quick checkout and minimal wait time.
2) They have a very clean truck- this is always important.
3)lots of condiments available crushed kosher salt was welcomed.
*My stats: I lived 30 minutes north of Philly and frequented the area.
I am a dedicated foodie. Maybe they have something else on their menu to offer which is better. I do not know, however Jeno's steak sandwich does not get more than a 1 star review in my opinion.
We had Jeno's cater our wedding reception, which we held at Jailbreak Brewery. We had around 105-120 people including staff and the band.
At first we were worried about how well the food truck could keep up with demand with a fast influx, but it wasn't an issue ay all. The staff kept pumping out meals, and everyone LOVED it. (Also my family is from Philly, so quite a few cheese steak snobs They loved it)
The three things I hate about weddings is that 1) when dinner is served, not everyone is ready to eat. Some want to eat immediately, some want to wait. 2) the food isn't hot. And 3) you have to pick whatt you're going to eat months in advance.
With Jeno's we had NONE of these issues, and people were able to eat as much as they wanted. The truck was amazingly well received.
In particular, Rudy (the head of the truck), entertained the families while producing great food. He was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the planning process, and was very flexible with the menu (i.e. accommodating dietary restrictions).
Finally, all that said, the bonus was that it was quite affordable.
Fun, affordable, and great food - there was nothing to dislike. Everything was fantastic. We'd recommend their food truck for catering your event in a heartbeat.
Great little local place. Stop by wherever I'm in the area . Never disappointed.
Worth every calorie! I had the "8th Wonder" and my children had the chicken cheesesteak. All ingredients were fresh and good quality, fries were fresh cut, service was excellent, and we will definitely be back!
The best Philly steaks you can get anywhere, hands down! Jeno's steak sandwiches are better than anything you'll get in Philadelphia. They have a somewhat extensive food collection so if you're hungry for something other than steak, they've got you covered. Plan on taking out your food. Seating inside is extremely limited, meaning a bar with two, yes two seats. Their parking area is a little tight too as it's in a strip mall with other stores. Nonetheless, it's all worth it. The staff I side are always helpful and willing to get your order just the way you want it.
Decent sub with good customer service, but the price seems too high for just a sandwich alone. I believe it was $9.50ish.
Really good cheesesteaks including some inreresting styles. Be aware no seating inside.
My husband and I were looking for a new cheesesteak place and google directed us to Jeno's and we were NOT disappointed! They were absolutely amazing, and the owner was so nice and it was the exact kind of place we want our money going to. The subs were super full and the bread was great, I personally would recommend getting the Seoul sauce mixed in because it was out of this world good!
As a returning customer, I can help but continue to have this recurring thought: what kind of person puts honey mustard with buffalo sauce on a cheesesteak? A god, that's who. And don't even get me started on the mozzarella sticks.
Awesome spot to grab a cheese steak. Great staff and awesome fries. Thanks!
