It was an okay meal. The show on food network pumps this place up, where you would make it a must on your to do list asap. I had ordered a mini ufo and it really wasn’t the best. And as an appetizer i ordered crab imperial sushi. I know that i have had way better seafood than this at better establishments. Just if you were to come here be prepared to pay a-lot. Good luck!!!

The food is great. I thoroughly enjoy my meal from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend it. The only thing I DID NOT appreciate about this place was, they aren't too accommodating. Customer service is everything and the actual OWNER disputed with me that a reservation had not been made and that NO ONE from his staff would've made a reservation for the size party (9) we had. I said, "Sir, are you calling me a liar?" He then said, "I'm saying no one from here would've made a reservation for YOU PEOPLE." According to them we were 1 person too many to be seated at a table that we reserved that they're claiming we never reserved. It's not like I've never been there. I'm very knowledgeable of their reservation policy. Well, I then suggested sitting us at separate tables as long as we could eat because we drove over 6 hours and stopped here to eat before checking into our hotel. They refused and sent us upstairs to the bar part of the restaurant. Aside from that, we all enjoyed our meal. The staff working in the bar area were way nicer than those working in the dining room part.

You know if you go to new countries or cities you have to try certain foods that the place is known for? Well Jimmy’s is that place for crab cakes in Baltimore. Great happy-hour with 2-4-1 drinks and sick food specials. Great food, great vibe, and even better staff. If you want more of a fine dining experience head to the restaurant side. PS it’s a seafood restaurant with some of the best steaks any could have!

Food was great but the service was lacking. Myself and my husband were immediately ( and I mean before the entrance door shut) told we would need to go to the bar because we did not meet their dress code policy. The offending item was a pair of Ravens athletic pants. We didn't have a problem going to the bar but we both couldn't understand how they determined his attire unacceptable before he even fully entered the establishment. After seeing ourselves to the bar, our waiter/bartender B for short, arrived at our table without haste. He brought our drinks and appetizers but he didn't return until we were well into our main course. Another employee brought our entrees and a glass of water. I almost felt dismissed or not worthy of our waiter's time. Although he was very attentive to the table behind us. Maybe it was the two attractive ladies sitting there. We watched him check on several other customers throughout our dinner but he only came to our table when we were finishing up. Although we were both greatly satisfied with the food, we agreed that our time there would have been perfect if the service was better.

One of my favorite places to eat at. The food here is excellent. What I don't like about this place is depending on what server you go to how much your bill is. It all depends on how they ring it up. I can go one week and my bill will be $90 and I can go the next week and my bill will be $50. And I always order the exact same thing.

Must come here when you are looking for a clean place with a group to smash crabs, and eat them of course.
I unintentionally came during their restaurant month in July 2017 and their choice of seafood sandwiches with an appetizer was a great deal for less than $20.
My group of 6 (3 adults, 3 kids) came around 11:30am and the place was pretty empty. We were able to get a table in the rear since our group was planning to eat crabs. The table was set with paper and hammers.
My group of 6 ordered 3 of the crab cake sandwiches which came with fries and a soup, and 1 dozen mid/large sized crabs (they didn't have any other sizes since it wasn't the season). The sandwiches tasted great, but the Maryland crab soup was on the salty side. The crab cake was filled with crab meat. we opted to leave the crabs in the pot on the table. The crabs were flavorful and it was fun at first to hammer it, but in the end, we just requested for the crackers. Since it was medium/large, some crabs didn't have much meat, and others had a good amount. Will definitely aim for ordering the large/jumbo sized ones if you have a choice.
Waitress was very attentive and clearing out the buckets of shells and taking away our plates and refilling our waters.
The place is clean and parking lot on the side of the to-go order section.response / report this review -

I visit Jimmy's on Saturday and my card was charged twice when it should've been charged once. The server took it upon herself to end her a $29 tip when I clearly put a zero in a line through it. Took the manager Rachel all day today to give that to me about what happened. But when I call back to get more clarity about what happened she's unavailable once again to take my call. I would never go back to this establishment again. every time I called to talk to someone and everyone was rude to me and didn't want to give me their names or couldn't find the person I need to talk to.

Got the stuff lobster tail, cream of crab soup, stuffed shrimp, grilled fish w/ vegetables and steak (ribeye and cake). Solid tasting food, good. Not amazing, but would go again if in the area. Though the portion size vs. The price is not the best value. Nice ambiance. Would have been great if the steak someone else ordered at the table wasn't first cooked twice apparently,then barely cooked blood everywhere, though it was seasoned well; ordered medium.

Been here multiple times. The dining room is fantastic, the bar is energetic, the staff is great, and most importantly the food is AMAZING. The burgers are off the hook. The Sushi is pretty awesome. The crabs.the best in the world. I'm a lifer! Crab cakes are awesome, its purely lump crab meat. Steaks are also excellent. Nice upscale dining room, and a 2 great party atmosphere bars.
Employees and owners are all amazing, and treat their customers like family

My husband and I stopped in last night for dinner after our flight from FL. We have never been there before and was wanting a crab cake so bad. Our food was delicious and our server Jordan was amazing!!! We will definitely be back again!!!

The food and service was definitely 5-stars but it took over 30' to get water when we first sat down. Our waitress was too busy with something else so another waiter swapped in. He was excellent.
The oysters Rockefeller were huge and really good. Everyone's fish entrees were dynamite. I recommend that at least one person in your party does the $40 3-course special and getting the chocolate blackout cake! Seafood stack was the best entree of our bunch.response / report this review -

Dining area is so dark, you feel like you are eating in a basement. The food was good but was barely warm when it arrived to the table. They added a 20% charge to my check. I, being a trusting patron, didn't see it, and I still gave a 30% tip for the waitress. No wonder she was so happy. Spent $150.00 for a quick lunch and a few drinks for (2) people. I wouldn't say it was a horrible experience, but there is no doubt I will never return to eat or drink there again.

After an unfortunate rude phone experience with one of the staff, Kenny, the manager at Jimmy's made it right! He made my husband's birthday an evening to remember! He gave us personal attention and ensured we had everything we wanted. The signature Seafood UFO we had was fabulous, as was all the other entrees and appetizers we ordered. The calamari, in particular, was cooked to perfection! Service was excellent, everything was wonderful and, I am now won over.. we will be back! THANK YOU KENNY!!!! YOU'RE THE BEST!

I took my lady, my 86 year old parents along with my brother and his wife for Christmas dinner. Our waiter was Jose' and he did a fantastic job. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was terrific. I had one of the best steaks ever and the entire party was very happy. We have been going here for years and the food has consistently improved. Can't wait to go again.
