I would highly recommend Dr. Vella with TOCA if you are in need of an orthopedic surgeon that specializes in hand, finger, wrist - any surgery related to injuries, arthritis, etc. I come from a family of medical specialists, and we all do our homework before making a surgical decision. His qualifications and experience are excellent, he is very kind, patient and willing to answers questions and provides short and long term expectations. I love his support staff, and appreciate everything they have done for me.

Have gone to TOCA for a couple issues and their office staff are awesome. Great customer service and Dr. Zoltan is the best! Very caring and explains everything as he treats you. I will always highly recommend TOCA!

Dr. Carter is the best! Had a terrible knee condition, he not only revised it, but he made it better then before my initial injury!
He is incredibly upfront and honest! Do your research he is easily the best ortho surgeon in Phoenix. Definitely one of the best in the country! Couldn’t be happier with my results.

Dr. William Stevens is informative about my upcoming disc replacement surgery in my cervical region. He explained what to expect, my downtime, and what percentage of recovery I should expect. His nurse practitioner Sana, is also very professional and compassionate. She is genuinely concerned about my well being and surgical outcome as is Dr. Stevens. I am confident my surgery will be handled professionally and with care.

I ruptured my Right Patella Tendon Dr Thomas Carter Performed my surgery. His knowledge plus confident and calm demeanor not only eased my concerns before surgery but also during the recovery process. Also nurse Dominique (sorry name may be incorrect) was absolutely amazing. Although a job of that nature can desensitized a nurse or any medical professiona, she truly seemed as if she cared and showed compassion.

The staff was absolutely amazing every step of the way ensuring I was comfortable but most importantly well informed on the process and procedures. Great experience here wouldn't change a thing well done guys. Thanks you guys especially Dr. Carter .

The staff is great to work with, on top of your questions and issues that can arise. Dr Duhon is very good at what he does. Which is why he is in so much demand. I have given his name to several people and am looking forward to having my other knee done. The recovery time was quick because the replacement went so good. Absolutely the best!!!

This staff is well organized and very respectful, they will always call you back for appointment or if you have any needs. Dr Carter and Stella has been a God blessing, Dr Carter has performed 2 major and 1 minor knee surgery. I've been blessed and so lucky to be in the hands of true professions. Dr Carter sense of humor and customer service is outstanding. Toca is worth the wait!

Not enough staff to answer phones.
Wait time is unacceptable and unprofessional.
This place is to big for its britches.
Doctors wont recheck xray 10 days post op for fear they will have to eat the costs.
Post op infections are rathet high with some docs.
I should know I am an Surgeon.
All toca wants is money up front even if you have insurance before they do the actual surgery. It called copay. How sad. Go to someone that doesnt have a stand alone surgery center. These places are not prepared to deal with unusual emergencies. Scary.

Dr. Duhon is one of the best hip and knee replacement surgeons in the valley. I am a nurse and have had complications with my knee and need a replacement done. Although he didn't give me the answer I wanted,he gave me the honest and correct answer. He could have lied and made money,but he didn't. He did knee replacement surgery on a friend who is a nurse,and she was back to work in 8 weeks and is doing great 6 months later. I did my research and when I can have surgery in the future,he will be my choice. Dr. Steen Johnson did my arthroscopy and did a great job. Both Doctors as well as the physical therapy department are friendly,answer questions, and are caring. However,I was seen at the Glendale location. FYI I was an Orthopedic nurse in the past, and I am picky about who I see and recommend. Dr. Dijon also saw my father. So I highly recommend both Doctors. If they can work on sports teams they have to be good.

My roommate previously went here and the doctor Zoltan he was seeing lead him in with no improvements for almost three months. After fighting to see a second opinion things got minorly better but not by much.

This is by far the worst place I ever been to. Over a month we been having appontments. Then to finally get scheduled for a surgery, they told use 2 days before the surgery that our insurance didn't cover the surgery facility. Why wouldn't they let us know this a week's before we prepared and spent all this money for the stuff we needed for the post op surgery and knee brace. Dr. Cummings, surgery scheduler Corina, has terrible communication. She lead us on to believe that we were still going to get the surgery done. Then told us days later dr. Cummings can't do the surgery because he doesn't do surgery at the facility where the insurance is covered, which is gate way. I wouldn't recommend Toca to anyone who is in need of surgery.

I've had nothing but bad experience with toca. Lack of communication and empathy for there patients. Medical cost are expensive and i felt that my time was not taken into consideration. First off they assigned me to the wrong doctor before i was assigned to a doctor that could do the surgery. This process took 3 months which i think could been sooner if i was assigned the correct doctor. Then had to wait another month just to have the surgery. Been out of work for 3 weeks and need a form filled out by my doctor so i can collect my short term dissability. So i bring them the form and toca wants to charge a 25 dollar fee to fill out the form. It pisses me off because i feel they collected enough money and they still want more. What happened to the days where you could go to a doctor they fill out your forms do things that they're supposed to do for their patients. To me it's just excuse for them to charge more money and create more inconvenience to someone that's already having a lot of problems financially do to the fact that they've had the surgery. All I can say is WTF
