My Family and I used to buy from Sutherlands on a regular biases, but now are very disappointed with the Harrisonville MO store. Prices are nearly doubled compare to other hardware stores. The customer service is unacceptable when it comes to returning products and when needing help. The employees are constantly not in their department and it takes up to thirty minuets to get the appropriate help needed. The store is also filthy and constantly understocked. The employees are great to talk to, but they need to work more on working and less talking.
Love Sutherlands. Hard to find help in the store most times. Try loading a cabinet on a cart and into the back of 4X4 by yourself sometime. Prices and product great.
In and out quick and easy
Helpful, found item easily.
Great customer service, everyone I asked for help sounded happy to do so and they have a wide selection of products though the prices for most things are above elsewhere. All employees were wearing a mask and gave me my 6 feet. The floors could use some attention and I have no idea if the bathrooms are open or not so I don't know if they are clean. 4 stars for customer service and product availability and 1 star off for prices and cleanliness.
Tons of people everywhere looking for help. Only one younger guy helping in plumbing doing a great job! Unfortunately the lady selling furniture needs to work on her customer service. TERRIBLE attitude and made very little effort to make a sale. Doesn't even know where her inventory is.
Good local lumber yard / hardware store. Suffers from poor attention to customers due to lack of employee assistance and help.
Worst customer service ever. If you bought any material without a upc be prepared to spend 20 mins at register after 30 mins in line.
Worst customer service on the planet. Inefficient, incompetent and belligerent when you call them on it. It says "typically"" 20 minutes spent here." That 20 minutes is likely spent trying to get some assistance from the staff before you leave in frustration. They seem only comfortable dealing with good ol' boys. Tough. It's the 21st century fellas.
Rude and lazy employees. The place is a mess and never have the simple and common idems in stock. Management doesn't seem concerned about the attitude and performance of the employees. Will not be going back, I'll spend the gas money to drive to Raymore when I need something.
It's great having a quality home improvement store in the area. Sometimes they don't have the stuff that the Bigger Box stores have, but most of the time they do. Great employees most of the time. Staffed pretty well.
I had a great shopping experience today. Helpful people and a friendly cashier. I also found the pricing attractive. No need to shop on line.
Horrible customer service, the whole place is a cluddered mess and I'm not completely sure anybody employed there really gives a damn about your business.
We called sutherlands to ask about refrigerators yesterday they told us they exactly wanted we wanted went their today and they did not have any. When we explained we lived over 30miles away and called to make sure before we drove up pulling a trailer we were told well you didn't talk to me I don't know what to tell you. They were extremely rude and hateful mind you we looked over 5 minutes before we even found any to try and help. The 2 people at the register were eating pizza and said someone should be in that area over their and pointed, I said no need to be rude and they laughed and turned their back on me, why we were on our way out to go to a different store to BUY from them another customer was walking on his way out telling the employee well if you don't wanna help me I will go somewhere else the employee was yelling at him saying dude do what you want your not my problem and f**k you go somewhere else a**hole. Now that's the professional way to act. I will tell everyone about this so plan on loosing more business, and I will be contacting the BBB tomorrow. You lost $1000 just from us and no telling from the other gentleman. This should be addressed immediately, for your stores own good. Connie
I usually have great service as I spend a lot of time and money in this store. HOWEVER, I recently had a jackass help me, or really roll his eyes and try to sell me a microwave that had no mounting bracket. After I asked about a bracket, he still insisted everything was there, then I told him I had just installed one and that there should be one. I asked him if he was sure that it didn't need one, and finally he said probably. Newsflash Steve, just because you are retiring in 6-8 months doesn't mean you need to be rude. You work in an industry where customer service is a must, don't treat people like they are stupid!
