Beautiful log cabins in a beautiful spot in WV! I'm not a fisherman, but my nephew had a great time fly fishing in the stocked streams.
Had a fantastic time here with the family. The view of the giant rock cliff and the river is absolutely spectacular, and you can enjoy it from the comfort of the cabin! We went snorkeling in the clear water and enjoyed watching all the trout swimming around us. The hike up the cliff is VERY steep, but the view at the end is definitely worth it! The staff that I came in contact with were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend visiting this place!
The best cabins are across the bridge. The only downside is that if you are a couple, you'll be sleeping in a queen. The views are great but the river is mainly shallow around cabins 11/12. You'll be able to swim in the river up by the entrance. Can't speak for the fishing as I don't have the patience to fly fish. We stayed in Cabin 11 which was just great. I have no complaints. They do have a lot of rules but the rules are what makes it an enjoyable experience. Very quiet besides the occasional vehicle driving down the road. The cabins are in what is called a dark zone what does that mean? You will see all of the stars, if it's clear.
Should be rustic cabins not luxury cabins. The smell when we opened the door was horrible. Turned your stomach. The cabin is dated. Stained panelling. Dark interior. Bugs on the floor. Bathroom walls were cracked and the caulking mildewed. Perfect fishing cabin i guess. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Especially someone with allergies or breathing problems.
Great cabins. My wife and I have stayed here 6 times over the years. Cabins are cozy and comfortable. Fireplace is great in winter and the ac is great during summer. Private hot tub and in cabin jacuzzi tub is excellent. Very quiet and peaceful. Short trip to many area attractions.
Very nice contemporary cabins with all the comfort to feel like home plus amazing trout fishing.
This is the most peaceful Retreat he ever going to find. If you enjoy the outdoors trout fishing or nature this is the right place
Absolutely beautiful. The cabin was in great condition, very clean and comfortable. The grounds are well kept and the views stunning. We have only one complaint and that is the master bed was a full and was a little uncomfortable for two adults. You might want to check what's in the cabin your thinking of first. Other than that it was perfect. The staff are very friendly and helpfull. I would go back in a heartbeat.
It was absolutely beautiful! The cabin was very clean and the staff was helpful and super nice. I will definitely be staying here again!
It is a beautiful setting, loved the view, the river was conducive to a great trout fishing experience, they staff was friendly, and I would recommend to my non fly fishing friends, but personally I will not be revisiting, there were way too many people for me, I prefer to fish alone or nearly so.
We’ve stayed here a few times (2016). Located right of a highway but still a little hidden. Cabins are clean and well-kept and overlook a nice river area (and have hot tubs). Perfect for families, groups, or couple’s trips. The company/staff are very accommodating when we were seeking a cabin that had already been reserved plus they offered a military discount. There are a few hiking options in the area, one of which is very steep but has an amazing view. We will stay here again if we are in the area.
We had to make a last minute change in our reservation and the staff was really considerable. Cabin was clean and the surrounding view was amazing. Enjoyed the stay very much. Highly recommended!
Relaxation to the fullest 2nd time staying here already planning the next!
Great experience. Great fishing! The staff were very polite and the cabin was clean and comfortable. Highly Recommended!
My hub and and I have been to Harmans twice, with another fly fishing trip in april. The owners are no nonsense folks, and the place couldn't be more beautiful. The trout are massive in size, this place is a gem. Love wild and wonderful west virginia! Now I have seen some gripe about river conditions, hello, who has control over that???
My wife and I stayed in Cabin 11 from Saturday through Monday and were thrilled with our experience here. The cabin is exactly as represented, 1-bedroom, quiet, well off the beaten path, and came with a private hot tub. We spent both nights in the hot tub and while others were staying at nearby caverns, we never heard a soul and didn't have any distractions. The prices are incredibly reasonable and the ambiance is as good as the pictures show. One thing - there is virtually no cell phone reception, but the cabin did have wi-fi that worked well. There is a nearby town (Petersburg, WV) about 15 minutes away with grocery stores and a few restaurants that deliver to the cabins. All-in-all, we couldn't be happier with our stay here, it really was perfect to get away from everything. We are already planning on scheduling another stay for the Spring.
The cabins are comfortable. The scenery is second to none. There's a lot to do for the outdoorsy type. Very much worth it.
