I've heard a lot about this place. I have friends who rave about it. I got the biscuits and gravy and was disappointed that the biscuits were small and there wasn't that much gravy. It was good just not enough. Nice atmosphere, nice waitresses.

This is a terrific restaurant. It offers great food, friendly service and a very hometown-feeling, welcoming atmosphere. It is always very busy on weekends but on the week days it's not hard to get in pretty quickly.

Here's a tip: try the vegetarian omlette, with chili and grated white cheese added on top. It's AMAZING that way! I think it might be called a "Roger special" or something like that.

Highly recommend this restaurant! Excellent food and service. You'll never leave hungry, servings are generous. Family owned restaurant with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Their soups are homemade. If you are in the area on a Friday or Saturday, their clam chowder surpasses any prepared at seafood restaurants! Only open for breakfast and lunch.

My dad was a patrol deputy when I was growing up in the 80s, and Sunrise Cafe was one of his favorite places to go for breakfast. The food is still amazing and the service is still friendly. Not updated decor, but great for families wanting to make memories of huge delicious strawberry Belgian waffles.

This was my first time at the restaurant. This place has an amazing wait staff. They were all friendly, efficient and kept the coffee cup full. The food is good. It not exceptional. I had the ABC omelette and it was pretty bland. The biscuit was slightly burnt but edible. Overall I would recommend Sunrise Cafe and go back.

We left IHOP on 78 and sycamore and found this place, wow what a difference, greeted when we walked through the door, food was awesome. The most avocado I've ever seen served at a restaurant. Service was awesome also.

We ate here last year and had a really great experience and meal. We traveled back again this year from Albuquerque, and the service was eh, the blueberry pancakes tasted strange, the banana pancakes had banana chips with a few fresh bananas, and my sausage and gravy biscuit didn't have sausage, more like microscopic bacon bits. Very dissapointed to spend $60 on breakfast. :(

The employees were very friendly. This review is based on the food. It was just okay. I had the Italian sausage omelet & I could barely taste any flavor. I also ordered the "made from scratch" biscuits & gravy and they were bland as well. The pork chop breakfast has more flavor. The homefries with onion & bell peppers were actually very good. It wasn't a terrible place but I wasn't impressed.
