The food continues to underperform for a so-called upscale place. The wait staff has been unprofessional, slow, and at times seemed irritated to be serving. This is not a problem unique to this restaurant however, as we are finding that Los Alamos does not expect much from most of its restaurants.
Finally, I am shocked that the owner of the Cottonwood considers it appropriate to berate a customer in his response to a poor review. Thus is the restaurant industry, and restaurateurs must be gracious at (almost) all times. An honest but tough review should be motivation to strive for higher performance, not an excuse to defend their subpar status quo.

Starting off just entering the restaurant we were stopped by the bartender telling us that it was a 15 minute wait for a table. I clearly could see to unoccupied tables and No one in front of us so I felt slighted. We chose a table close to the bar and No one came to see what we would like. I had to go the bar and talk to a waiter to see if we could get service he abruptly cut me off telling me someone would be there. This restaurant service needs improving first and last time I come here

We like this place. The food has always been good and service is also pretty good. We like to take my parents there for their nice Sunday brunch that has an omlett station. The atmosphere is very good and the selections of food options is quite good. (The pizza is very good.) It is low key and usually not crowded. Prices are reasonable. If I had any complaints they would be that the chairs on the outer patio are really horrible. You can't drape you jacket/purse on them because of a weird metal bar and they just are very unworkable in general. I hurt my rib very badly leaning over that metal bar to pick up something that fell. I won't sit out there anymore, but luckily the inside chairs are just fine. Also they don't open early enough for us. We usually want to go about 8 but they don't open until 9am. After the Blue Window, this is my favorite place in town. (Let's keep this to ourselves, so it doesn't get "discovered".)

Their pierogies are my favorite thing about having a meal here! They have a full bar and their margaritas aren't too sweet or too salty. Their bloody mary's are also excellent! They also offer a buffet brunch on Sunday's that is a nice balance of price and foods available.

By far my favorite thing about Cottonwood is their patio seating which overlooks the county golf course. In the spring and summer when the weather is nice, they open up the windows. It is a great atmosphere!

Paid for two drinks at the bar, and ordered the Nachos 30 minutes later. Their idea of Nachos is tortilla chips covered with hamburger and a sprinkle of cheese. No jalapeños or any of the other standard ingredients for Nachos. We asked about it and we were told they were out of jalapeños, but they didn't let us know before we ordered. When the check came, they tried to charge me for the two drinks I had already paid for. Had a previous bad experience there on Father's Day as well. Bad food, bad service, and bad attitudes. Not going back.
I'm not making a fake post, just sharing my experience with your restaurant and staff. You've gotten enough complaints about your place, but the food, service, and attitude doesn't change. Maybe you should try a different business.

Service was horrible never knew who are waiter was and never got our water. When we made for drinks they fully said what do you want. Did not bring us a menu. Also was told.to be patient for water after waiting 30 mins for water. By owner.

We love the Sunday breakfast buffet. One of the only descent places open on a Sunday morning in our little town. We have been a couple of times at night and had good food and service. I also like their beer selection since it is within walking distance from my house.
