I am in utter shock, my family was told “We cannot serve you, you have more than 4 people.” WOW, must be nice to have so much business you can turn a 10 top awaywho were understanding of a larger group and were will to split up.
I am looking forward to dining at other restaurants in Blowing Rock and Boone on our visits in the coming weekswhen Bosto Roca is empty due to this awful service and attitude towards customers.
I recommend dining at Blowing Rock Brewery and Woodlands BBQ.willing to serve a family at anytime with great service and a smile!response / report this review -

We went during the off season so it wasn't very busy but or server was super friendly and helpful. My wife and I both had a steak and they were prepared just the way we ordered them. I would definitely go back and recommend.

FAN-freakin-tastic!! The roasted fig starter was delicious as was the shrimp n grits which was no ordinary shrimp n grits with duck sausage and a scrumptious sauce. The chocolate raspberry bread pudding was outstanding. Atmosphere was romantic n cozy. Waiter Zack was very attentive n polite. Thumps up Zack. LOVED IT!!😍

A definite favorite Blowing Restaurant! Great Sunday brunch. However, Bloody Marys are too spicy for some people. Please also offer a less spicy version as in previous years. .

Went to dinner in a group of 6 on Oct 10. I had a fish special which was good. My husband had the untrimmed rib eye. It was thin and over cooked. Service was not great, twice when we needed plates and silverware he brought just 5 of each for the 6 of us. The restaurant was busy during our dinner but when we left if was nearly empty. We were seated in a small section next to the windows in front. Upon departure I left my pashmina wrap behind. It was pouring rain when we left and I didn’t realize it until we were about 20 minutes into our hour plus drive home. I immediately called to let them know where I was seated. It must have fallen on the floor, it was black and we were in a dark area. We had friends who could pick it up for me the next day. The person who answered went to look for it and at one point in the conversation I thought she said she had it but she said no I don’t see it. I asked her to check with the server and or table clearer because I knew it was there. She took my number in case it showed up. I definitely left it there. The next day I called back and asked for the manager who was busy and could not come to the phone. I explained to a different staff member what happened and he checked lost and found and of course it wasn’t there. I confirmed I had called within 20 minutes of departure the night before and that there should be a note with my phone number. When he found it my number had been recorded incorrectly by 1 number. He informed me none of his coworkers would have taken it. But there were no diners left in the area we were seated and only a couple left in the bar area as we departed. I have yet to hear from the manager. It was a very nice accessory and I am so sorry I left it behind but never expected that at an establishment like Bistro Roca it would not have been turned in when found.

Maybe we hit them on an off night? After reading the reviews we expected to be in for a treatwhoa, it was horrible. I'm not sure how food can be over spiced yet bland at the same time, each dish was dominated by a specific spice.with absolutely no other flavor to be found. We had pork spring rolls for an appetizer, and it was two rolls cut in half to make 4 miniature rolls, for some reason they tasted of fish.. they were not good at all. So maybe the meal would be good I thought. There were four of us, and we all selected different plates from the menu.my wife the chicken, my daughter the trout, my mother a burger, and myself low country boil. After sharing bites of each of our meals, we were surprised to see the burger was by far the better choice.that's pitiful for such a pricey place. Would like to say our server improved the disgraceful meal..but, she didnt. When I asked for her opinion to sway my choice when ordering, she was clueless as to what the main entrees really were, and was quickly eyeing the menu descriptions laying in front of me to explain what was served with that order. I saw other waitstaff bringing bread after a table was seated, so I inquired if we were to receive any after our salads, and only after I asked, we got bread. We are not a picky family of eaters, but after sampling our chosen plates, we were all completely disappointed knowing the size of the check that was coming. My mother, sitting on the most edible meal, was even upset that a 12 dollar burger came with 8 steak friesdo yourself a favor and skip this joint.

They offer a bar, indoor and covered patio seating. We enjoyed a delicious melon, tomato and salmon lunch, plus yummy crispy eggplant "fries" and a delicious burger. Excellent, friendly and attentive service. Bravo!

Wow, y'all! The food was amazing, and the staff was even better. We had the calamari (best we've ever had), lobster mac and cheese (delicious), and the hanger steak which melted in our mouths. The kitchen had a mix up with our calamari and it came out late (we didn't even notice), and our waiter and the manager apologized profusely and gave us the calamari free as well as a free desert. We will definitely be coming here every time we are in Blowing Rock.

Overall the food was.grat.and I've.never.had a bad experience there. One of our desserts was a little disappointing. Service was spot-on.

Bistro Roca has beautiful ambiance. I ate here for dinner with family. The service was perfect and the food was expertly prepared.

We stumbled across this place during a visit to Blowing Rock. I think maybe it came up on Google Maps. It blew us all AWAY. 4 adults and 1 child all LOVED the food. The service was impeccable, the decor and ambiance was wonderful, and we loved it so much that we decided to go out of our way to eat there again on our return drive from Tennessee to the NC airport. My daughter loved the mac and cheese so much that I asked for the ingredients and they told me (presumably since we live FAR away LOL), but I haven't quite been able to get it as good, though close.

This place is Amazing! We had the Lobster Mac n Cheese, the Black and Blue and the Duck. Portions are a nicely sized and the food was absolutely perfect. We will definitely eat here again when we're in the area. Make reservations. We waited an hour+ as "walk-ins" but it was worth every minute.

Charming rustic mountain Lodge feel with places to hang with a friend or book over glass of wine. Wood fire oven file the building with delicious aromas. Food is always spot on love the lobster Mac & Cheese
