As a first-time visitor to Indy, I was excited to explore the local brew scene. The vibe here was really relaxed and fun. The industrial space does tend to get echo-y, so if you're looking for a place for more intimate conversation, I'd search elsewhere. We took some flights back to our seat and dove right in. If you're a fan of porters and stouts, this is the right brewery for you. Big fan of When the Lights Go Out coffee porter. Try it on nitro for a super creamy drink! Biggest regret is we didn't stick around long enough to explore the charcuterie selection. Only thing I love more than big, hefty beers is cured meat!

While I've been living less than a mile from this place for over 6 months now, I just had the opportunity to give this place a visit. The taproom is large and full of friendly staff, bartenders, and workers. My boyfriend and I tried a couple IPAs and they were delicious. The price was right and the names of the brews were creative and fun. We then went on a tour of the brewery learning about the history and trying out a couple classics along the way. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back!

Dark beers are only okay. No real hop presence in the core lineup. A few standouts, but the core lineup seems about 5 years behind trend. No NEIPA, very little if any dry hop representation, but classic styles brewed well. Space is awesome.

It was awesome. I had not been here for 5 years probably. Glad we have returned! We were able to hang out, play a board game or 2, and drink some fantastic beer! Along with great music, and good friends! We will be back

One of my favorite breweries I visited while in Indianapolis. Large production facility onsite and you could smell the grains once inside which I like! They have a bit of something for everyone, if you can't find a beer here that you would like, then you probably don't like beer! Friendly service, outdoor seating, brewery tours, large selection of merchandise. I will definitely be back.

A great place to start if you are looking to find a taste for craft beer. They do tasting events, some local music and have a huge area to sit and sip on beers. Don't be looking to buy food though, the only thing that have is a really pricey Hot Pocket they heat up in the microwave (I'm serious).

I'm not much of a beer person, but I really like the cream ale. Cool atmosphere and the host some events. Neat place to visit, beer enthusiast or not.

It was my first day in Indy and I had a great time at Sun King. I met one of the owners, Steve, and complimented him on what a fantastic staff and brewery he had. He thanked me, sat down, and enjoyed a beer with me. He was on his way out but took the time to welcome a traveler into his establishment for over an hour! Great place, wonderful ownership, and just a sweet place to visit when you visit Indy. Everyone was nice and I couldn't leave without buying a souvenir glass.

Came in from Canada to see this wicked brewery. In their web site it states touring time on Thursday at 5:30, unfortunately staff stated to us there was a booked private tour from 6:00 - 7:30. We described our situation that we from Canada and made this stop part of our trip. Staff continue to tell us that there are other breweries in town that would be preferred when we made this specific brewery part of our trip. Decent staff but very disappointed with what I would assume to be management as we only wanted a quick peak at the works and the cultural portion as beer is our passion. The beer is okay I might add but the one star is towards the fact A.) We came at 5:30 and the private tour is at 6:00 (tours are a half hour) and B.) what I would assume to be the manager wouldn't even associate with us even when we requested to possible speak with him in order for a quick tour
All in all we will not be making this our number one stop after this experience nor purchase merchandise as planned from this brewery as we experience much more pleasant brewery's on our stay here (as staff here recommend).
I rarely make negative reviews but this is one I will never forget unfortunately.

Open tasting area. Good view of the brewing tanks. Bourbon barrel Timmie is outstanding. They use local barrels from established and good distelleries.

Staff is friendly, prices are great, and beer is amazing. The tip of the spear for the new downtown scene and craft beer revolution in Indy

Wonderful beers and atmosphere. It's a Brewery, so why not have the tasting room right in the Brewery area instead of somewhere you can't see the action. Love it!
