Shrimp Po Boy is absolutely classicalso tried honeysuckle spring soda, really unique.
Good fast option. Had the cubano. Was ok. Won't be craving it though
I am a client since they were located at Westside Provisions District. I used to have my toasted bread with butter, so perfectly made. Since they moved to the bigger and fancier place, they started to be much less flexible with customers, then I couldn't get my tosted bread anymore, only order things from the menu. Ok, I found an amazing grilled cheese and fell in love for it. I used to wait the whole week to have that piece of heaven on Saturday. It seems that many other people as well, as each weekend I used to go, I used to see at least one of it in each table. However, suddenly they decided to remove it from menu, and change for some fancy s*** stuff. No way they will do it anymore, even though we almost begged. I'm so sorry customers requests are not taken into account, even more sorry to see some attendants treating us as silly when we gently complain and ask to have our grilled cheese. Why is that so difficult to make a grilled cheese? And man, it was expensive like hell, but as we loved it we would buy forever!!! They for sure lost me and my husband as clients, and I will make my efforts to make sure that my other all friends, that by the way are also grilled cheese lovers, guit going there as well. Go to hell with your fancy expensive s***.
Staff is friendly, not attentive. Cubano was good, has a touch of sweetness. Needs to be a bit tidier.
So sad.. now that the main store is gone. I was so excited to go there when I knew I would be working around the corner. Once I walked in, it looks so unhappy in there. Most everything is gone. All that is left is the counter to order lunch and a few seats. They blocked off the entry way into the main store that used to be there. I did get some pastries though. Those were still delicious! I mean if you're totally hungry and want to grab lunch and get some sweets. Head in and head out.
Some of the best sandwiches in town with a few sweet treats for dessert at this location. A favorte for breakfast or lunch. Your taste buds will thank you.
Been to the old location many times with mostly good experiences. New location. what has happened? Terrible service and smug attitudes by servers and manager. Waited 15 minutes and had to ask twice for a simple sandwich. Only a faint, half apology when food finally delivered. Too many other choices than to deal with attitudes. Too bad as it is a unique place.
Always delicious every time I am here. Today I got the Korean BBQ. The Kim chee was amazing. There's not always much seating but that's a great problem to have. I highly recommend.
Neat deli+cafe+bakery+meat and cheese shop masquerading as a grocery store. I love their Vidalia cake the best! I've had issues with timings in the past where the hours online suggest its open but I've found it shut. Mostly on the weekend. But Google hours now reflect that it is closed on a Sunday, I would still call ahead of time on a Saturday to confirm.
Fun place to browse through the store while you wait for lunch. I wanted to buy a French rolling pin while I was there, but at $60, I had to pass (found one for $6 @ Walmart). Had the Korean BBQ sandwich, mom had the pastrami. Both were delicious.
That shrimp po boy yo. I've been on a search for really fresh tasting shrimp. You can really taste the difference between frozen and fresh shrimp here. I really dig it. Will be back for sure!
Star Provisions has always been a 5 star favorite of mine with excellent pastries, lunch offerings, cheeses, plus lots of other cool goodies, snacks and stuff.
Lately, their pastries seem a little below their normally high standard. Not sure if they changed their recipes, oven, or their baking staff.
The sticky buns are no longer individual & awesome, the cookies and brownies are a bit off and biscuits are crusty and over cooked.
