Again. wish I could find more places like this. Delicious foodGreat staff (ask for Jessie) everyone was professional. and even more importantly, friendly. Was honored to actually meet Mr. Sconyers.

WOW!!! Came here on a suggestion. Glad I came. Food, service and atmosphere were amazing. Will definitely come back next time I'm in Augusta.

Very very tasty, and the servers always have a story to tell. I would definitely come in and have their plantation platter (1/4 chicken or sliced turkey, 2 meaty ribs, slices of beef and chopped pork). Their sweet tea is also to die for.

Just some of the best traditional BBQ you will find anywhere. And Mr. Larry (Sconyers) is often in the restaurant greetings old friends and making new ones. You won't regret your visit here.

I haven't eaten their 30 years ago. Was in Augusta sat. Ate their again. Just as good. I live in North Carolina. I brought home extra. So I enjoyed it for two days.

Every time we visit Georgia, we try to look for local restaurants/small businesses to visit. Sconyers was by far the very BEST BBQ sit-down restaurant we've ever visited! We loved the old-fashioned decor, both indoor and out and the costumed servers were simply wonderful. It was a huge venue, able to seat about 400 easily in their upstairs and downstairs seating areas. The food was divine and reasonably priced as well! It's a great feeling to find these golden local finds!

Best BBQ in Augusta. this local family owned restaurant was past down from previous generation just shipped some of their BBQ to Arizona. They moved from Augusta over 20 years ago and was craving some good southern BBQ and hash

Not sure why this place is so highly rated. This is not good barbecue. The atmosphere is of an old country house.but it smelled musty. The entire place had a old smell. The barbecue and sauces are not good. No southern staples are offered. Just hash (ugh) Cole slaw and the like. Pretty much stuff they can make ahead and let set. Bread is half a loaf of sandwich bread set on the table.
Apprently they didn't get the memo that Georgia changed their flag in 2001. They still have the old one flying with the American flag. That's a shame.
There are so many better options for barbecue. Don't settle for this.
The only good thing about this place are the staff. Very nice and helpful. though they make them dress in ridiculous old times clothes.response / report this review -

The atmosphere of this place feels like a nice woodsy country home. The property is huge. The service was great, the waitress was kind and made sure our orders/requests were met in a timely matter. I personally was not a huge fan of the food. My husband and I ordered the small pork plate, the meat was good it came with hash on top of white rice and your choice of Cole slaw or potato salad. The portion side was plenty. I wish I could have picked different sides since I didn't not care for those but that's what they offer. So the place and service were great the food was okay.

Very nice place and service was great. But the food is simply bad. We had the pulled pork and ribs. The pulled pork was bland and dry. It had probably been sitting in the heat lamp too long. The ribs suffered from the same problems. I really wanted to like this place but just left really disappointed.

Awesome place to eat ! Had our son's wedding rehearsal dinner there! Plenty of space, kid friendly, service is great and the staff is awesome! We eat there at least twice a month! Highly recommended.

Service was good but the BBQ here is very very different and unforutnely not my taste. Every meal comes with a TON of hash. The hash isn't something most of my party of northerners enjoyed. The selection of BBQ sauce for your meat are all very vinegar strong but the cuts of meat were good. Would recommend to others who enjoy hash!

Great bbq! Been coming here since I was a baby and I'm forty something now. We celebrated my dad's birthday and met my siblings there from out of town so was disappointed when they closed at 9pm on a Saturday and we got there at 730we live an hour and a half away.They also were out of chicken and ribs so my kids nor my husband ate because that's what they wanted. We ended up going to Burger King went we left. I still give it 5 stars because the food is great.
