  Hi my name is Fred ,I am from the west coast of Canada and I surf mostly in Tofino and Ucluelet BC , but travel a lot around the world to catch waves.In December 2015 I was on a surf trip to So Cal and the waves was not very good so I decide to try a SUP and maybe buy one in the future if I like the experience.I went to all of the SUP shop in Santa Barbara and by far the best crew is the one at Standup Paddle Sport . They give me a different board to try every day to make sure I felt the difference between them. Since that day I buy 2 boards from them ( 1 Hammer 9,5 x 33 and a Jammer 8,6 x 33 )and I am in the process to order my 2nd Jammer ( probably a 7,11 x 31,5 ).There is plenty of reasons why I stick with the shop , there is some of them. ( friendly people , very fast to answer any questions , professionals , very good product , possibility of hand made SUP full carbon for under 2k , and the best part of that is .they make the coolest and most user friendly wave catcher on the market. the JAMMER ..;).
  
  I agree the website is a bit confusing , but they have sooooo much pictures and ideas for a new SUPwhy complain about that, just take your time to navigate and you will see its NOT complicated at all

  What a great place! Such a combination of great design and customer service! They took such great care of us, both with a lesson, with our purchase, and even with a repair caused by my own complete lack of inexperience. Even before our lesson, Ian was totally patient on the phone, answering my questions many questions. The boards are great, and so well designed that my 6'!" husband was able to enjoy a board at least a foot shorter than anyone else's board, and it's lighter than all the rest too. That's good, because at present we can only afford one board.
  
  Ian took us out for a fun lesson, beginning in the SB harbor, and then going over to the little beach next to it. He picked out several boards for us, and my husband was able to do well. I loved the boards so much that we decided to buy one. What's amazing is that their Hammer boards are so well designed that we bought a 10'6" 33"wide board, and it is wonderful! They totally went the extra mile.literallyby asking Kelsey to deliver the board down to us in Carpinteria after hours.
  
  As luck would have it, I had a problem that same day, first time out, with a war between the fin and sand, caused by my complete lack of surfing experience, and I was heartbroken. We went back up from Carp to SB, and they took great care of me and absolutely made my day. This shop has the perfect combination of technical expertise and customer service. Stacy (hope I spelled it right), Ian, and Kelsey thanks so much! I am definitely stoked!

  Own a lot of boards, but the crew at Standup Paddle Sports was simply the best. They were clearly a group who loved to surf, gave great advice and their responsiveness could not have been better. The board itself arrived right on time, was easy to track and it was in perfect shape because they packed it so meticulously. The price for this quality is exceptional and the fins were also incredible. My board looks great and performed even better. The pictures on the website are so helpful, but call these guys for real advice. They are all passionate surfers. They use the product. You will get the right gear at a great price!

  I have bought several boards now from Stand Up Paddle Sports, and they are the best people ever to do business with. The quality of the materials they use for their boards, the designs themselves, and the incredible variety of boards they stock make choosing a great paddle board easy. Plus their prices are very reasonable, and are much cheaper than what you would pay somewhere else.The staff are all surfers, and the Aloha with which the treat their customers is incredible. It's makes shopping with them pure pleasure.

  This is a great place for all your SUP needs.
  
  I was looking for a very specific combination of qualities in a SUP board, which was not easy to find. Everyone in the store could not have been more helpful and patient. I got to demo a couple of their boards (which were great), and they applied the rental cost towards the purchase price. I got a great price on the board I bought, but what mattered more than that, was their invaluable advice.
  
  Try to look past the website (which will hopefully be updated soon), and talk to someone in the store. Will, Paige, Al and Warren will take god care of you.
